Even if these movies are "overrated" (meaningless buzz word, incidentally), the reasoning given here is consistently banal or not even argumentative. shite, half of them this person just thought were boring. Top Gun is overrated because it's overly homosexual. These are opinions you share with your douche friends, not intellectuals.

I guess that's why it's from "Coed Magazine."

And Easy Rider

And Dead Poet's Society

And Clerks

And The Big Chill

And 2001

And Amadeus (probably the only fair portrayal of Mozart ever)

Nope. I'm with you. It and Easy Rider duke it out in my mind for most overrated movie ever with every Woody Allen film ever made

Chalk anouther up for Gone with the Wind. I can handle Easy Rider though.

And I still haven't seen a Woody Allen movie that's watchable start to finish much less enjoyable. Bananas probably comes close though.

I disagree with Top Gun, Fargo, Dead Poets Society, and The Usual Suspects being on that list.

The only movie that I clearly disagree with being on the list is Amadeus. That was a brilliant movie, one of the greatest ever. And the ones I definitely agree with are Lost in Translation, Clerks, Avatar and Million Dollar Baby.
