Poor Things was pretty good, we watched it last night.

It’s out there but worth a watch.

What does this even mean.

That they did really well in things like production, set design, costume, etc.

Is that really hard to grasp?

Why do you have a guy presenting who can’t read the card?

Poor Things is one of those movies that will win all of the Oscars bc it's liberal and edgy and has a woman lead role being a slut and fricking many men and that's somehow something to aspire to be by the left, but in reality it's just a weird movie. I didn't get where it was trying to go. It just didn't feel like a movie with a plot. Just lacked substance and was a movie that didn't get me engaged.

This is why it’s hard to take Hollywood serious

American Fiction will LaLa Land it...just watch. Never underestimate the Academy's ability to FUBAR everything.

Yes. It’s a technical part of a movie, not the actual acting/performance itself.

Tech isn’t just electronic.

Watched poor things this morning

It’s something alright

The sets and costumes were great. It looked cool and the camera is different

But it was so over the top with the sex and cock and whoring and clitoris talk

And she has the brain of a child at first and it’s just creepy

Won’t ever rewatch it

People have such warped view of what technology is

Has anything woke happened?

Any others hoping Saltburn takes home the big prize?

Maybe, but Oppenheimer is a much, much bigger favorite than La La Land was.

Saltburn isn’t up for anything lol. Because A24 doesn’t have as strong a hold over the Oscars as they do the Golden Globes

In the same way Editing isn’t really tech. It’s an artistic decision to choose this shot over that one. To keep this scene and not that one.

It’s artistic decision with color, style, and shape which helps tell the story or characterize a character.

And Oppenheimer is pretty universally been lauded across the board. At pretty much all of the award shows as well.

If anything upsets it, it’d be The Holdovers and even that’s an outside shot.

Darn. Then I hope DeNiro wins and launches a crazy attack on Trump so that we can have something fun to post about for a few days.
