Halloween Kills was better than half of your top 10.

I’m a huge Michael Myers fan but your comment alone lets me know you haven’t seen a single movie on the top 10.

Titane is the best horror films of 2021 IMO

Now we’re talking. This one was great.

You know, I agree, kind of. I didn't mind this movie. It was entertaining. But to say that it was the fourth best horror film of the year doesn't say very much for the horror films of the year.

I've seen 8 or 9 of them. I watch literally everything then forget and rewatch. I do agree it was a down year for horror all around and with tTCM remake starting off 2022 things aren't lookin up.

2. The Beta Test (horror/comedy)

Had never heard of this one so watched it today. It was good but it wasn’t a horror movie (and I hate when people say that). Was squarely in the mystery/thriller category but I did really enjoy it so thanks for the recommendation!

Malignant and Antlers being top 10 proves it was a down year for horror.

Was going to say the same for Wrong Turn. I guess it was nice that it wasn't a complete rehash of the original and it was certainly better than the craptastic grouping of Wrong Turn 2-6 but it never really made me feel any kind of dread or connection w/the characters. It was just sort of there. Seemed like they slapped the Wrong Turn name on it to get people to watch.

Also, while it held my interest the whole way through and had some effective moments I thought it was lame as hell to call Next of Kin a Paranormal Activity movie. Again, it felt like they just put the franchise name on it to push interest. I'd say it's a B tier found footage flick. Had a decent time watching but I was really glad I saw it on Paramount+ instead of at a theater.

Welp, I watched the new TCM movie on Netflix last night, and one things is for sure: it doesn't belong anywhere near this thread when it pops up next year. That movie was bad (see my post in the thread below).

Watched GAIA last night on Hulu. I enjoyed it. Definitely worth the watch. I'd try and explain it but you're probably best going in blind.

Really surprised no one has mentioned The Medium, Werewolves Within, or The Advent Calendar.

In a down year for horror, those all deserve a mention.

Also, no love for Willy's Wonderland!?

The deep house was dope. The people that made it did a hell of a job with all the underwater shooting.

The Deep House was really creepy. Not necessarily scary, but really well done and creepy. It’s missing something that would make it an all timer, but the ambition and creativity is there. Kudos for the recommendation.

Advent Calendar made my top 10.

I still need to see the other two movies.

I love this show but never for a second did I consider it horror. Pure comedy.

Yes it has a horror backdrop but the show itself is not horror.

It’s very much a horror comedy. It’s just not scary in any way but there’s plenty of horror elements to the show
