the Black Keys

Saw em play a buncha their new stuff at waka. Just as solid as their early stuff. They even brought out a bassist and some keys for a few songs. For 2 guys, they have a very full sound, but the 2 new guys made em sound even better. Love me some keys

I read in their Rolling Stone interview where they said they clear about 2 mil a year, which surprised me. Good for them.

Blitzen Trapper - Destroyer of the Void

Solid B, it might move up. I like it more than Furr.

I hate to say this for Voodoo but meh. Not a huge fan of Muse and not really excited about seeing the others. ACL has a much better lineup.

I loved Furr, but haven't listened to the new one yet. Need to get it, Dawes, and Gaslight Anthem

I would see: Ozzy, Weezer, Metric, Muse, Janelle Monae, Jonsi, Boys Noize. Crookers.

fwiw, Interpol is one of the most boring live acts I've ever seen. and post-punk simply isn't made for festival/arena rock. muse, on the other hand, is amazing live.

I'll go for Hot Chip mainly, but I would like to see MGMT play their new material live.

No interest in anyone else.

I'll pass on muse. They can stick to inspiring the Twilight saga.

The new Wolf Parade album, Expo 86, is streaming from the band's myspace if anyone is interested. I am going to try and give it a listen tonight. Pretty excited for this one.

I'm a bigger fan of Wolf Parade's side projects (some of them at least) than Wolf Parade themselves. Handsome Furs and Sunset Rubdown are awesome.

BTW, these guys have too many damn side projects. They must have at least 10

I am a huge Sunset Rubdown fan as well. Dragonslayer was a top 5 album of the last decade for me. I never really listened to Handsome Furs because I've always much rathered Krug's songs. Not that the other guy's songs with WP are bad though.

It would be tough for me to choose between Wolf Parade and Sunset Rubdown. I have seen them both live in Baton Rouge and both shows were great.

Krug has at least 5 or 6 alone. He actually released an EP earlier this year under the moniker Moonface. It is just one 20 minute song featuring a marimba. Worth checking out if you are a Krug fan.

Yea, Dragonslayer is an incredible album. I didn't care much for Handsome Furs' Face Control album but Plague Park was fantastic. I really don't have a preference between Krug and Boeckner.

I'm waiting for a lower bit rate copy of Expo 86 to come out before I try out that album. Let me know if it is good

I'm really digging the new M.I.A. album. Rusko does some awesome work on it. I even like some of the more pop tracks too.

ETA: Can't wait to hear a higher quality rip of the album. Why would someone rip an album at 128 Kbps? This aint the late 90s.

I'd do it because I have limited room on my ipod. I wish they had 500 gig ipod's so I could just do straight 320 kbps.

I just found out it's actually 32kbps nuked to 128 because it was ripped from some shitty website giving previews.
