i dont doubt big boi's album will be tight. but it's not the same without the two of them rapping on the same track. i just dont think andre likes rapping as much as he used too. cant blame him, he's been doing it for a long time.

Yeah I only really liked the Kala tracks that Diplo, Timbaland, Blaqstarr, & Switch did for her.

So... the whole album?

I don't really care about her personally, but MIA released original audio from the interview and it seems like the NYT reporter twisted up her words, but whatever.

I remember the first time I heard Speakerboxxx/ Love Below. It was such a fricking awesome album(s).

Hopefully that wasn't their swan song.

haha, almost the whole album

the only corrected part of the article was something about truffle fries and bono. she still largely seemed like a narcissistic, muck raking, talentless bitch.

Anyone like Phosphorescent?

They(he really) just put out a new album in May - Here's To Taking it Easy. I'm loving it. He put out an album last year - To Willie - covering Willie Nelson songs that's just awesome. He definitely carried some of that over to his new one.

The first two songs on his myspace page are from the new one, the next 3 are from To Willie and the last one Wolves, which is an amazing song, imo, is from his last album, Pride.

Thoughts on the new Gorillaz album?

This thread wasn't around when Plastic Beach came out, but I'm a huge fan. In my top five so far this year along with the new LCD, Black Keys, Titus Andronicus, and Hot Chip.

I've mostly only listened to the first half of the cd, and everything but that snoop dogg track is pretty great.

me too. I'd kill to see Daryl Hall w/ Chromeo. I'd murder someone to be there.

bump for THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM cd release tommorro.

and finally got around to giving The Nationals new one a legit listen. Has been in my car for a week straight now. Wow. Love that cd.
"So happy I was invited...
Give me a reason to get out of the city.
See you inside watching swarms on TV,
livin or dyin in New York it means nothing to me.
I gave my heart to the Army,
the only sentimental thing I could think of.
With cousins and colors and somewhere overseas.
But it'll take a better war to kill a college man like me."
