Every epic adventure is just a "long walk" if you ignore the conflict and characterization that make it a narrative.

Maybe the most profound statement ever typed on the Movie/TV Board.

Some adventure novels that fit this bill:
The Odessy
Call of the Wild
The Man Who Would be King
Jurassic Park
Seven Years in Tibet

All have been made into movies!

The Bible is another book that fits this mold.

Muppet must be a damn literature teacher!

Yes, Lord of the Rings has gay undertones, but what keeps that from being a great film? I love this film, and maybe the jumping on the bed may be overboard, but The Lord of the Rings is an absolute masterpiece. If you are so homophobic that you can't enjoy The Lord of the Rings, then that speaks alot for the person that you are. Plus Frodo and Sam aren't gay, despite the undertones of the film.

Man idk when Frodo looks like he's trying to frick gandar and talking in some gay accent that was basically it. Also the interaction between Frodo and his uncle at the party was just over the top. I'm not a big fan of fantasy.

Sorry that you are so fricking homophobic that you refuse to watch a great film. I mean are you afraid of turning gay yourself if you watch it? Chances are that means you are a closet homosexual and are just afraid that watching this film will bring your inner gay out. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

If your a fan of the books it is a great movie. It was better than the book for me. Book 1 of FOTR just kind of drags along. Book 2 till "well, I'm back" epic.

It's pretty much the opposite. I guarantee you they are more guys who get laid watching lord of the rings than Star wars. That's a fact.

Never heard the old saying Star wars would have made double the money if every guy that went actually had a date.

3 movies about a long fricking walk.

It's not funny in Clerks II so what makes you think it's funny on a message board.

I do love when he screams "Muthafricka!" near the end. It's hilarious

Where he talk about beating him the previous time and the whole "last time I stick it in you" along with the humping motion makes me laugh every time.
