Ricky Rudd had a hard crash at the 1984 Busch Clasch which caused his eyes to swell shut. A few days later he ran the Daytona 500 with his eyes taped open with duct tape.

Herschel dislocated his shoulder early on in the NCG against notre dame his freshman year. He popped it back into place and finished out the game going for 150 and 2 TDs. And we needed every bit of it, considering our QB went 1-13 for 7 yards.

Kid I knew in high school got hit so hard he shite his pants.
Got taken to the locker room, was so distraught over his shite pants, he wiped his poo all over the lockers and the walls. After he calmed down and cleaned himself up, he went back out and put up 150 and 3 TDs.

This isn’t an injury but Dock Ellis pitching a no hitter on LSD is by far away the most impressive story I’ve read about.

He suffered a concussion and some broken ribs, and numerous bruises and cuts. His eyes were so swollen he couldn't keep them open. He ran the entire 84 Daytona 500 with them taped open and finished 7th in the race.
The following week he won at Richmond. Ricky Rudd was/is a tough SOB.
