I have to side with your UCLA brethren here.

Kentucky and Florida have had some loaded great teams, and I rooted against them and would never list them as favorites.

Is Lamar Roberson the oldest senior in college basketball? I bet there's an Iraq veteran somewhere who is older.

He's played basketball at like 13 different colleges and he still doesn't quite understand the rules.

My biased favorite team was 1986-87 Iowa. They had BJ Armstrong, Roy Marble, Brad Lohaus, Kevin Gamble, Ed Horton, and Bill Jones.

My other favorite was the GT teams that had Kenny Anderson, Dennis Scott and Brian Oliver.

Im going to go with the 73-74 NC State team that beat an almost un-beatable UCLA team with Walton.

Monte Towe (5'2")

David Thompson (maybe the greatist college player ever.)

Tom Burleson (7'5")

Kenny Carr

Tim Stoddard (pitched in the majors for years)

01-02 Maryland

Dixon, Baxter, Blake, Mouton, etc.

02-03 Texas

95-96 Kentucky

Delk, Walker, etc.

03-04 Georgie Tech

Elder, Jack, Schenscher (sp?), Mohammed

95-96 UMass

Camby, Padilla (whoever mentioned this earlier was money)

speaking of UK...what the hell happened to Shepard from the 98' title team?

Besides the LSU tourney teams,

04-05 Illinois with Williams, Brown, and Head. The comeback against Arizona was incredible to watch.

1994 Arkansas. I won a lot of money (probably $80) and then got busted for gambling in 8th grade and got suspended. A good time though.

Nice to see the Maryland love. I probably love the 1994 team a bit more, as they were the ones who got to the Sweet 16 unexpectedly and started the return of the turtle: Keith Booth, Exree Hipp, Joe Smith, Duane Simpkins, Johnny Rhodes, Nick Kovarik... fun team.

But God do I love Juan Dixon. He was all heart.

I remember that game. It was in 2005 where Illinois had only like 1 loss all year. Yeah when they played Arizona, that was the greatest college basketball game ever.

I remember I was going for Arizona in that game. Weren't the refs kind of scetchy at the end of that game? I think I remember it that way.

LSU 1986

Derrick Taylor
Anthony Wilson
Don Redden
John Williams
Ricky Blanton
Oliver Brown
etc.

In my opinion, this team had the best team chemistry of a college basketball team I've ever seen. While talented (especially Big John Williams), they were far from the most talented team but got the absolute most out of their ability. One more athlete and a little better offensive strategy and they could have won it all.

I don't think I'll ever enjoy watching a team play more than I enjoyed this one.
