So Sterling's behavior is fit for someone who is supposed to be an intelligent business man?

He had every right to feel that way but it's another thing to make a scene about it the locker room. How does doing something like that help the situation any?

Telling the team he would trade them all might light a fire under their arse? Who wants to go from L.A. to say.....Milwaukee?

He is a racist, not an idiot, and he can do what he wants because of his money!

Difference in this situation is now you have him on tape making racist coming for the entire world to hear.

Some of his past actions like the Baron Davis or Maggette incidents can be spun as hearsay or just made up stories.

There's a right & wrong way to handle situations. There's a reason certain teams, coaches & GM's in any sport are able to maintain success. They stick to a script. They handle situations that a rise in a proper fashion. It's no wonder the Clippers were awful for so long.

You can force him to sell the team, but other than that there really is nothing you can do to him.

I think that's what most hope happen in this situation.

a fine is suitable. While what he says isnt politically correct, it isnt illegal to say it. I love how the media and random people are quick to blow something out of proportion like this. The players turning their gear inside out...really shows him doesnt it! He isnt even there to see it.. they should worry more about their opponent and not get their arse beat by 20 than what someone says about their skin color.

NBA can not force Sterling to sell him team, the commissioner doesn't have the power the MLB commissioner does.

False.

It is a big deal and a problem when the owner of a minority-dominated league makes such blatantly racist comments, even in passing. It is unacceptable.

Won't ever happen unless the NBA is willing to buy his team for a sum that would make him give it up..... Or if they find someone willing to buy it for them.....

Not. The media has not yet began to sniff around Sterling's background just yet. There will be more digging & more people to come out of the woodwork before this completely goes away.

An 80 year old man that no one takes seriously making racist comments off the record is not a big deal IMO, and the Clippers players are a bunch of dumb asses for letting this get into their head and get their arse kicked game 4.
