...is a big deal. I'm sorry if you disagree, but it's not really up for debate, I'm sorry.

I don't think finding a potential owner or group would be hard especially in a market like L.A.
I'm curious to see what the NBAPA will do once the Clippers are out the playoffs. A few agents have already said they will be steering their players away from the Clippers as long as Sterling is there.

Hes an owner of a NBA team, im sure a bunch of people take him seriously
And the players on the team just heard that the guy they are working for doesnt like them nor any other minority because of their skin color. Id say its definitely noteworthy...

If the players just realized he was a racist then they are dumber than I thought.

You're barking up the wrong tree here.

You completely ignore the fact that this is a discussion about a team owner in the NBA which makes your entire post about racism in society irrelevant to the discussion.
the team owner is part of a company, yes.
People are condemning him for being a closet racist that has 'audio evidence' of such racism made to the public.
Did he say this crap to his team or employees or mistreat them in any way with proof and fact (other than heckling)?
Is he an NBA owner that is racist? Yeah.
Because he's a racist, he's a bad person right?
How about the NFL and Irsay being a white owner that is a POS that got drunk/influenced, probably did drugs, and got arrested for it. Why no outrage from al sharpton that he's a bad example and there's no room for that bullshite in the NFL?
People are infinitely more touchy about racism than any other topic you can think of. They're both bad for society, but one gets the publicity because its something that people turn a blind eye to in everyday life even though it happens all the time.

Bigger impact when someone tells you he's a racist vs you actually hearing it for yourself.

Possibly, I'm not sure how it would play out, but if you take away the money aspect you could see Sterling selling...

You don't know by now the baddest muthafrickas on the face of the planet, post on message boards? These bad muthafrickas are immune to almost everything to the point of almost being non human. So how dare some millionaire basketball players let some racist comments & the media attention those comments brought, effect their game? They should be almost non human too, right?

They are professionals who get paid a lot of money to not let things like this effect their performance.

So in your mind we should ignore both until they get equal attention?

I love it when non blacks use Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson in their arguments. Little do they know there a is large part of the black community who despises both.

I'm for it being out in the open, but I'm saying in general a lot of people I know (across all races) agree that if you're a professional, you need to act as a professional regardless of your own race.
Irsay should be made of an example just like how Sterling should be. If they have no tolerance for one kind of black mark on their product (the product being the NBA/NFL/any major sport that is in the public eye), they should no tolerance for all black marks.

Yes, I know a lot of blacks that think Al Sharpton is sending back their race 100 years. On the other hand, I know a lot that follow both men's words liek its the damn Bible. Generally speaking, those two are extremists and are always interviewed on a touchy subject like this.

Not really.... LOOK what the dude said was horrible for a man in HIS position... BUT the guys still have something to play for...... Screw the owner... "LETS DO THIS FOR US".....

So a player who loses a loved one shouldn't be excused if they have a bad performance in a game after the loss of that loved one?

Of course they do, but it's idiotic to imply that something public coming out about your owner like this wouldn't have some effect. That's absurd.
