Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s 12-year, $325 million contract with the Dodgers is the most money and the longest deal for a pitcher in MLB history, and this isn’t even counting the $51 million posting fee.

It worked for Cohen……

Dodgers are the most perfect team to rob Peter to pay Paul

Armageddon could make these deals brilliant. Otherwise, 2033 and beyond will be a joy

Right now our SPs are:

Walker Buehler
Yoshinobu Yamamoto
Tyler Glasnow
Bobby Miller

And a bunch of rookies or 2nd year guys:

Emmet Sheehan
Gavin Stone
River Ryan
Nick Frasso
Landon Knack
Kyle Hurt
Michael Grove

As well as these two:

Tony Gonsolin (out at least until August)
Dustin May (Might miss all of 24)

I'm thinking we'll trade a few prospects for another proven SP

kershaw will be ready in july/august

think we will roll with the rookies/2nd year guys until hes ready to come back

we are going to sign hader and then call it an offseason imo

I didn't put Kershaw since he hasn't resigned but he'd definitely be in the rotation come August or so

I'd love to see that. We have some real arm talent ready to go.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto's deal includes a pair of opt-outs, sources tell ESPN.

Here are more details on the contract, which is pending a physical: 12 years, $325 million (which includes a $50 million signing bonus), no deferred money, an additional $50.6 million posting fee to Orix.

At least the Yankees actually got the job done when they bought their championship back in 2009. The Dodgers still can’t buy a legitimate championship

Can’t wait for them to offer Max Fried 200 million next offseason and still fail.

12 years is a long time for a guy who has never pitched in America. We'll see.

And a 5-year deal for Glasnow who has never pitched more than 120 innings. Again we'll see.
