First they missed Tate shoving a DB about 5 yards as the ball came in and Jenkins had the ball first with it lodged in his chest as he hit the ground.
fricking terrible call and I hate the Packers

Tate was underneath Jennings while Jennings had possession. Tate was reaching around Jennings with the palms of his hands while Jennings had it secured to his body.

you are fricking wrong
Rule 8, Article 3, Item 5: If a pass is caught simulataneously by two eligible opponents, and both players retain it, the ball belongs to the passers. It is not a simultaneous catch if a player gains control first and an opponent subsequently gains joint control.
it has to be a compete tie for it to be simultaneous....IN NO WAY DID TATE CATCH THE BALL AT THE SAME TIME AS JENNINGS
Jennings completely caught the ball before Tate ever had two hands on it

It basically boils down this: do you need two feet on the ground or not to have possession of the ball. If not, int. If yes, TD.

Tate took his right hand off the ball as Jennings was coming down then he re-engaged with his right hand. That is not simultaneous possession

exactly, go back and look. jennings had ONE foot on the ground when tate had his back on the ground and both hands on the ball

after watching it several times, jennings only had one foot down when tate had both hands on ball with his back on the ground, sounds like a touchdown..
Its not a race to see who is down first, Jennings had possession regardless of where he feet where and then Tate tried to take it = INT

simultaneous catch is not an "end point"...it is a beginning
both players have to have the ball to start for it to be simultaneous
Jennings had the ball and had the catch before Tate ever put a hand on it
read the rule, yall are pulling shite out your asses
ETA: it is not a race to the fricking ground, the catch is form the start

I applaud you on your trolling efforts.

Plus Tate took his right hand off the ball during the play
Posted on 9/24/12 at 11:31 pm to Sterling Archer
Having hands on the ball is not fricking possession.

Anyone who agreed with the call in the first place is a fricking moron. Anyone who agrees with the call after reading the rule...we should start thinking about euthanization as a society

It's pretty obvious that was a pick

You are completely insane!
Two hands on the ball and the ball pulled into your chest and the other player has his arms around you and is touching the ball with two hands?
That is not simultaneous possession.

Did the Defensive player maintain control through to the ground???? Or did the WR have control through to the ground. Looked like The WR came in late got 2 hands on ball, and was down before defender could come down with both feet in control of the ball. Just opinion. Still there were about 3 missed calls on that one play.

once again, it is not a race to the ground
