Yes they would. You're either dumb or lying to yourself if you say they would turn down the chance to be on ESPN.

Monroe should be legit with their QB back.

Agreed - I can't imagine a scenario where they say no to ESPN (if it is a national broadcast).
I'm glad they have not had the opportunity, though. College football is meant to be played on Saturday. And, in McNeese's situation, on Saturday night.

Do the ULL fans and students prefer the Tuesday night games?

EVERY Tuesday? No they wouldn't. They've turned down TV games because they wanted to move the game to daytime starts. McNeese turned them down because the tradition are night games.

No one likes Tuesday or Thursday games for their teams, it dampens the atmosphere and it kills tailgating BUT the university would be stupid to turn down ESPN and the exposure it gives them.

I don't know a single college aged kid who would prefer LC to Lafayette. And I know a bunch of people from Lake Chuck.

Some guy named Abovepar posted it. I knew I read it this weekend.

I never called it a flame.
I'm not flaming at all when I say that the Cajuns bringing 30,000 fans to New Orleans is only slightly better than what West Monroe does darn near every year. How many Acadianers would travel to a Cajun bowl game a few states away? How many Cajun fans were at that Western Kentucky Tuesday night game?

West Monroe brought more to New Orleans than Florida last year, your point?

They would be considered stupid

They certainly did. Florida's showing last year was pathetic. I'm just commenting that the Cajun fans that pat themselves on the back for traveling all the way the New Orleans for a bowl game need to travel with the same passion to a bowl game not in Louisiana before anyone outside of Lafayette will be impressed.

Okay, well I know several.

I don't think anyone in this thread was patting themselves on the back. I only brought up attendance because I really don't know what kind of atmosphere a I-AA national championship game has.
I also think that most Cajun fans would agree that we wouldn't bring close to that many fans to a bowl like Detroit. Would be a nice showing in Mobile or Dallas though.

If you want to deal with a bunch of druggies when you go out Laffy is second to only NOLA in that sense.
