Defense will be turned on when needed. See last year. In the 20s pre all star break. #2 after the break when they were in playoff mode.

Yet another reason why offense is more valuable. A team can be great defensively just by trying hard to be one. Offense you gotta have the elite talent.

I look forward to seeing how good this offense is in February when Jim Harden’s percentages get up to 35/25/90.

I don’t disagree.

It’s just a shame we can’t see how good it would be if Jim Harden could make some fricking shots. Dude has been arse from the field.

That’s a minute sample size you looking at. With the change from 100 to 110 pace he should be right at 40 ppg this year when his shooting reverts to the mean.

While Durant is a solid player, strong arm and a gold glover, he just doesn’t hit for power particular to the opposite field. Leonard is a true 5 tool guy who can hit for power from both sides of the plate.

Imagine what other players could do if they got to sit out 20 games for rest. Until kawhi plays a full sEason and carries a squad you can’t put him up there with Durant. Imagine If Durant got to be fresh all year because he sit out a quarter of the games. it is not a fair comparison.

Tell us more about how much better Jim Harden was than Kawhi in their respective series.

Last year’s Toronto team was better than the OKC team in the finals that had KD, Westbrook, Harden, etc?

Siakam’s good but I don’t see three league MVPs on that Toronto team.

Kawhi left tor and they will win the same amount of games... within three or four. -and they also lost green. And didn’t add anyone worth mentioning in FA

In the regular season, you can have a ten deep rotation.

Toronto is somewhat notorious for having a bunch of good bench players because Ujiri is great at identifying talent and having it developed such as by their G League team.

Doesn’t mean they will go anywhere in the playoffs this year unless Siakam makes a quantum leap and becomes a true top tier star.

Sorry, man. That’s too small a sample size.

People underrate the team tor had last year and gave Leonard too much credit. The team GSW had in the finals was a sub 500 team. With Durant and klay out.

So... if Klay has been out in the semis, Houston could have beaten them?

Because they sure couldn’t beat them despite Durant being out.

Boom, everyone with a logical brain knows and acknowledges this but winning a championship and Finals MVP AGAIN is still winning a championship and Finals MVP again while also performing as the league's best 2-way player and it isn't close BOARD MAN GETS PAID MUTHAfrickA

The “two way player” crown is a consolation prize. It is not for “”who is not the best player” but who is the player who is better on D than offense.

Durant went out and they had a 3 to 1 advantage on all nba players. The only reason CC could challenge them is bc harden wAs the best player on either team.
