Last three Houston offense all top 15 all time. Durant has none without being on the warriors. Of course kawhi has none too. Harden is the only player ever who gives you all time elite TEAM offense. That is due to playmaking.

Weird, I thought this thread was about Kawhi vs. KD.

Give me Kawhi. I think KD is better offensively, but not blindingly so. I feel like Kawhi could score more if he needed to. But I’ll take Kawhi’s overall skill set and less drama (drama, sure, but much less than KD). Plus I feel like he’s a better leader.

But you really can’t go wrong no matter the choice IMO.

My pels had 2 elite defensive players Jrue and Davis and the D was still trash. individual Elite defense doesn’t lead to elite team defense unless you are an embiid or a gobert. Elite Individual offense is different. It does lead to elite team offense.

Consider this. Kawhi last year in San Antonio the defense was better with him off the court than on. Try to ever find a time when the best offensive players teams offense was better when he was off the court than on or don’t waste your time. It doesn’t exist.

I take Durant. I get the Kawhi arguments but Durant's too special of an offense player.

It's easier to get great defense elsewhere. You can't replicate what Durant does.

Boom cherry-picking stats and disregarding any possible explanation for them?

Incredible.

the Explanation is individual offense is much more valuable than individual defense. They are not weighted equally.

Only thing that stopped James from back to back titles in the most talented roster in nba history. The last two rockets team woulda beaten many many teams that did win titles.

Kawhi. His defense is way more ahead of Durant than Durants offense is ahead of Kawhi.

This was tough though.

Only thing that stopped the Pels from winning multiple titles was that Warriors team. Remember, they were undefeated against the rest of the league in the playoffs during the AD era.

Jeff was a good coach. But Jeff cost harden a ring so he had to go. In an nba without a super team, James will have his Way. He just may average 40 this year.

Imagine how many points he would average if he made even a league average amount of his shots!

Boom: we don’t make excuses.

Also Boom: an assistant coach (lol) cost James Harden a ring.

The “League average shot” Includes countless wide open shots. Hardwn has been the focus of every team they play for 5 years now. No open looks. You always gotta consider ahot type when looking at %s.

Who would’ve thought that the Rockets would’ve added Russ and Jim Harden would become the team’s most inefficient chucker?

Considering how Jim is the other team’s defensive focus it’s actually super impressive that he’s making 20% of his 3s. Kudos.

Harden told russ he had to change from the player he was. Russ has obliged. The result, #1 offense in the nba.

Remarkable!

Like 1/3 of his shots are “open”, btw.
