Would you attend the draft if you were top tier prospect?

Let's say you've been told by your agent/media that you are a lock to go in the top picks of the draft. Would you attend or would you throw a house party with friends?

Obviously, the draft has turned into the NFL's Oscar night with the red carpet. But I don't know if I would want to go or not. Also, giving Goodell dap doesn't sound fun.

Miami drafting Ted Ginn Jr. over Brady Quinn was one of the GOAT moments:

A 1st round pick once mentioned that they attended the draft because it was like his "graduation moment".

So I imagine it is really individualized if it means much to you

I kinda feel bad for ole girl. She's not ugly (She's also not Ciara pretty). But she will forever be linked to this moment. That's rough.

No because when I’d flame out in a few years I don’t want ESPN to always play the footage of me shaking the commissioner’s hand then holding up my jersey when talking about what a bust I was.

Id want to be home with my family. No cameras to show my reaction to getting drafted. Not even my agent. Just me and my family crushing some beers and grilling out.

House party all the way. Be surrounded by people I know/care about, and I don't have to wear a suit and have painful small talk with people I barely know.

I'm surprised by these replies. I'd have thought a lot of you grew up wasting this on TV thinking it was cool as shite.
You can attend and share the moment with your family. Those aren't mutually exclusive.

This.

I've always liked hearing about those top prospects that don't even watch the draft & go fishing or something instead.

If I were top tier I would go.
Like saban, I'd spew rehearsed patter before and after. And a joke.

I'm looking for commercials. tie-ins. Cars, clothes and cola.
A perfectly tailored suit.
Great hair cut.
Smile/caps.

Hi out there you xxxxx-city fans. I'm going to make you glad you got me.

Happy day.
