Would it not be perfect if Caitlin Clark announced that she is going to play in Russia?

I’d love to hear Taurasi and Bird cry some more about her.

You mean two players who also played in Russia?

Not sure what your point is or why you care.

She should just come back.

WNBA has already shown how hostile they are to HER...and resentful and Clark's not a card-carrying member of the alphabet mafia. She'll basically be walking into Shawshank thinking she's just here to play basketball.

The WNBA is an awful organization full of truly horrible people. I hope she tells the to get lost and doesn't even bother going

and I don’t get this you would think a organization would want someone like her to bring new fans/support to the sport. In the long run over time if more people became invested because of Clark it could actually help other players get bigger contracts. Are other players too dumb to realize this?

I like CC from what I know about her, but it isn't much. Are we sure that she's not a leftie or alphabet?

This is it. Its Rapinoe X10. Terrible weird cult product that women don't even watch. I said it before, Clark should play another year at Iowa and then probably semi-retire...and do events with endorsements. The WNBA is just going to diminish her with that toxic culture. There's no rule you have to play in that phony league. She could pull a Nile Kinneck and turn down the Pros.

She's dating Connor McCaffery (former Iowa basketball player and son of Fran). Not sure her political affiliation.

Modern society is just the worst when it comes to worrying about this.

I'd argue that you should be frustrated with the WNBA climate rather than us wondering how / if CC22 would fit in with that climate.

Or… she could become the Jackie Robinson of the WNBA.

I think it would be a mistake and it would set back women’s basketball for her to go to the Big 3 and get dominated by old dudes, has beens, and never wases.

She’s a gift wrapped present to the WNBA and could make people give a damn about it.

Not me, but maybe other people.

Ok…so this thread is anchored?

Agree with this. Athletes shouldn't feel pressured to give an opinion on anything other than the sport they are playing. I wish we could go back to the days of everyone keeping their political views secret and not everyone was an activist.

The climate of worrying about anyone's political opinion on either side is the worst. She's basketball player. The only thing that should matter is if she can win games.
