Besides Clemson losing there were zero exciting upsets.

Probably does “suck” when you’re not invited.

Mid-majors loaded with upperclassmen who can give the power teams fits are a thing of the past. Now their stars get poached before those teams come to be

It's ok though. We've traded excitement in college sports for the kids being able to afford a subway sandwich once in a while

I was laughing earlier about how safe my bracket was yet how effective it was. I was pissed I didn’t go back and edit in time but worked out fine
The portal and NIL has almost certainly widened the gap. Outside of Gonzaga and the Big East I can’t imagine many smaller programs making noise anymore.
At least they have matt McMahon and LSU to dunk on

5 Clem
6 Missouri
7 Kansas
7 Marquette
8 Mississippi State
8 Louisville
those were the 6 higher Seeds that lost -
2nd Round has under-seeded 8/9 teams in Gonzaga Creighton Connecticut & Baylor ...so we might get some 1's clipped Sat/Sun - Auburn & Houston the one's to keep and eye on -
overall the top 4 seeds in each region all went chalk - McNeese is Cinderella I suppose even with 28 wins and just 6 losses - and its SLC trophies -
New Mexico and its 27 wins and MWC title probably the strongest 10 seed ever ? -
Drake has 31 wins and 3 losses as an 11 seed -
there is no marginal 20-win team this year that's a text book NCAAT Cinderella -

Boring early rounds usually lead to better later rounds. Fret not, lil bitch.

Yep, I like a few upsets, but those 12 vs 13 seed 2nd round games kinda suck.

Second Rd is always where the real excitement is

Only 4 of the 32 games were decided by less than 7 points

Better second round games

Yep
Nil and portal destroyed the ncaa tourney
Might as well go all power 5 tourney
Let the lower teams have their own tourney

And were the favorite so only an upset seed wise. The committee had zero idea where to seed Memphis.

121 perfect brackets still remaining goes to show the lack of parity this year. Normally there’s only a couple left after round 1

This…and yet they want to expand all postseasons in all college sports but as we’re entering an era where the power is being even more consolidated than it was.

Also Memphis was without their starting point guard. If Hunter wasn’t out they would’ve been the betting favorite.

Yep. Got fooled into doing Dr. Locks bet the underdog ML in every first round game.
No more veteran mid majors. They all get poached after year 2 or 3. Like Dalton Knecht.
I think the "upsets" will be in round 2 and the sweet 16.
There is a lot more parity up top. Don't think Uconn beating UF or Creighton beating Auburn would be that big of a surprise
