That will go down as one of the most underrated WS games of all time

But Dave Roberts is literally the most snake bit manager in playoff history

#1 Baez is unhittable when he is on but he gives you the big homer. You know then he isn't on and yet Roberts brings him out for another inning and another homer. #2 Then everyone knows Kenley is done but Roberts brings him out for the 9th. Roberts isn't snake bit, he is dumb.

Taylor (who wouldn’t be in the game if not for Bellinger SLEEPING ON HIS BACK WRONG) kicks it. Muncy makes a horrible throw. Smith whiffs it. Kenley isn’t backing up. Like... how do you even begin to approach that whole goddamn sequence as a fan?

well frick

Your boy Kershaw can right the ship tomorrow. If he does, he turns the narrative on him. If he pulls a kershaw.....

Absolutely crazy how many bad plays there were to end that game.

Terrible pitch to a .200 hitter, who hadn't swung a bat in forever and was down 2 strikes.

Terrible glovework to boot the ball in the outfield knowing you aren't going to stop the tying run anyway - you front that ball and make sure the runner on first doesn't score.

Terrible decision by the 3rd base coach to wave the runner - who would have been dead meat at the plate.

Terrible baserunning to lose control of your body and fall down in that situation.

Terrible baserunning by the hitter to continue to 3rd.

Terrible decision to cut off the the throw to the plate.

Terrible for the catcher to start the swipe before he had the ball in his glove.

Terrible for the pitcher to not back up the plate in that situation.

Oh, and it looked like some Rays were running onto the field before the runner tagged the plate.

Did I miss anything?

Still though what a damn game! Instant classic.

I don’t think you understand me

Dave Roberts is historically bad at making playoff pitching moves

But he is at a point where he is second and third guessing

This feels like the Leyritz game in 1996. Even as a non fan of the teams, you knew the trajectory of the series swung to the underdogs.

The Dodgers did everything possible right in the last three games of the NLCS and then go do some stupid shite like this in the WS.

Only Atlanta could make sure the Dodgers couldn't Dodger a playoff series.

I just wanted to see the Dodgers lose, but you have to feel sorry for their fans

I still want to see Kelly in a high leverage situation

Did you see what he said about it?
quote:

Roberts said Pedro Baez didn't execute the pitch he needed to to Lowe. Roberts then takes blame for bringing him back out for the 7th. He initially told him he was done. #Dodgers

We are used to it. We have become the equivalent of Cubs fans before they finally won. But historically, Dodgers fans are downtrodden by the Yankee beat downs in the 40s,50s and 7Os. It's in our DNA.
