Well they are the ones putting on the tournament, sooo...
At the end of the day, what can MLB actually do? The postseason is already awesome and it's not like they can manufacture that postseason/WBC atmosphere in the regular season.

You would have to make every postseason game 1 game series. It would be stupid. This makes it fun for this event and extremely tense but it would be stupid to try and replicate this

This is awesome because it's postseason baseball in March.
You can't make a postseason feel in April-August.
Baseball is at its peak in September-October when it's pennant chases and playoffs.
