This seems like a weird lie, but I think you are lying. Either that or you play at a par 65 course.
I am no longer an eight handicap but I was several years ago, that is an official handicap. I played at an eight officially for about two years and I think I shot in the 70s maybe 10% of my rounds, most of my rounds were low 80s
If you’re shooting 75 and 76 all the time you’re much better than an eight handicap
