Usually I hear a lot about this on both the men’s and women’s side. This year it’s crickets. Does anyone know how the ratings have been so far compared to the last few WC’s?

The numbers will be terrible with the time
Zones. Most games are on before 8am
The US third match is 2am our time

The wwc final will be 5am out time

No idea but whenever these international events are in places like Australia time zone the viewership isn’t usually great in the US. Plus the US team apparently thinks the US sucks so a lot of people who might watch are basically like to hell with em.

What a moment for L. Horan just now. She was taken out hard ,was down for a lil bit, goes back in shoves the opponent, getting in her face ,the ref tries to calm things bringing them together and Horan gives her some more. Theres a corner and Horan heads it in to tie it up

So rationale people stating facts mixed with logical opinions in a respectful, precise manner? Got it.

And they love people like you? Internet douche bag that add nothing in value attacking thin air in a no talent arse clown sort of way?

When the Netherlands scored I cheered and my wife got mad. Told her I won't support a team that doesn't even respect their own anthem. Also the way the Netherlands worked the ball around was beautiful, they certainly slowed the US teams fast paced offense.

No national team player has kneeled for the anthem in years but keep playing that narrative Aldean.

They don't kneel, but they stand stone-faced with their hands by their sides. Didn't watch last night, but there was a stark difference between the US and Vietnam anthems before the first game. The women from communist Vietnam had more national pride than ours did.

As long as they are out there representing our country and colors, I am cheering for them.

Literally cheering against your own country's team because you don't agree with a few individuals' political beliefs makes you incredibly weak minded and a hypocrite.

Now you're just regurgitating what some conservative clown says in a video made from his car.

See how many NFL players sing the anthem before a game.

I get it, Rapinoe et al are hard to take. I don't agree with anything she says or does. But people now are looking for reasons to bitch about the USWNT.

It started with kneeling, and they no longer kneel.
Now if they don't go full Pavorotti for the Anthem, an ignorant shock jock will tweet about them and then Fox News picks it up and then Facebook Karens start pearl clutching.

The anthem last night was so fast you had to be the Micro-Machine guy to sing it in time

I don’t think it’s rooting against them.
It’s really just become apathy towards them.

Not sure what you mean, I watched the game.

If you can't tell the difference between the Italian over-the-top singing and this, I don't know what to tell you man. Go watch the Vietnam anthem. Only 3 players had their hand over their heart.

Do you not hold team USA at the World Cup to a higher standard than a random NFL team at a random NFL game?

I can understand that.

You don't agree/like them, so you just don't watch. No big deal.

But actively cheering for the opposing team? Actively pulling for the US to lose? That's weak.
