Griner and the extremely rare people like her (the Armenian boxer) should not be put in the bucket of people born as actual clear males who then change to being a woman
They are the 0.00001% of cases that are legit grey, and looping them in and making such declarative statements like Trump did actually gives the trans movement some stable ground
They are actual people to feel sorry for, life dealt them a horrid card. If you want to make it as simple as genetic testing that would disallow the true hermaphrodite type cases I’m fine with it
But I also wouldn’t be against the WNBA having a “birth certificate” rule or something like that where Griner is allowed to play

The thing is that nobody is going to go far enough as to cut off their penis to play in the WNBA. So you’re left with people like Kantor and Royce who everybody knows are just pretending to be transgender.
Not that I think it really makes them women, but as far as I can tell, these boys in Connecticut (and Lia Thomas) really were under a delusion/mental disorder where they actually thought they were female. Unlike Kantor and Royce, who everybody knows are just pretending to consider themselves women.
