I was asking people this question the other day:

Would you rather:

A) Find five dollars in your pocket, or

B) Have the Tulsa Shock (city I'm located) win the WNBA Championship?

Didn't ponder the question too long, and not one even thought about the championship.

Lower the rim to 9 feet and make the ball a little smaller everything else will fix itself.

They'll be fine. All of them will just go overseas where the money is at for their sport.

$5 all day man.

I found $6 in my coat pocket a couple days ago and I was quite excited. The only reason for any of us to go to the wnba games here in Tulsa is Skylar Diggans... maybe just maybe you'll catch her attention and if you run into her at TGIF's you can score.

Wow. I'm actually impressed that they draw that many. I thought it was half of that.

7500 people show up for an average WNBA game? Seriously? I can't even fathom somebody asking me if I want to go to a WNBA game. I'd assume they were joking.

Oh no! What will become of the (insert league championship trophy)? Not to mention the storied rivalry between (Team) and (Biggest Rival). This is an outrage!

it is unfortunate for the women's game that they do not have enough supporters, but it is what it is. with the exception of maybe a handful of players (a very small handful that is) most of the players in the WNBA wouldn't be able to hang against any decent boys high school team. I have heard people say that the women's game is "more pure" and "more about the fundamentals", but any WNBA game (or college) that I have ever seen is very far from that.

the bottom line is money and the WNBA simply has never been worth the investment. they will never carry their own weight and at this point the league is nothing more than a women's rights charity case. I mean women in general don't even support the WNBA. when was the last time you saw or heard a group of random girls talking about it or watching the games?

start up a Lingerie Basketball League, and let's see if it takes off. Maybe combine that old basketball they had on Spike or whatever it was (Slam ball) and lingerie..

Women jumping on trampolines, in lingerie, playing basketball...

honestly though part of the reason why the WNBA never gets any attention is because 90%+ of the women are, well .... lets just say not easy on the eyes. even the few ones that come to mind who are attractive (Becky Hammond, Sue Bird) seem to not be interested in helping sell the WNBA with sex appeal.

look at what the likes of Alex Morgan does for women's soccer. look at what Danica Patrick does for auto racing. look at what Gina Carano does (or did) for MMA.
the WNBA doesn't have that.

Should have happened 16 years ago. The NBA should not be subsidizing a product that averages 1000 fans a game. It's an even bigger joke the team's name isn't on the jerseys due to ads. Whatever happened to the name on the front is more important than the name on the back? Why do fans in Europe eat it up? I never understood that.

There is big demand for professional women's basketball players in Europe?
