Well this just isn't true

Are you seriously trying to say that the wnba is more skilled at shooting than the NBA?

Of the top 20 3pt shooters with attempts per game, 11 of them shoot UNDER 35%. In the NBA, only three of the top 20 do. They are not better at shooting the basketball.

Really don't even need to comment on dribbling. That's pretty laughable too.

Keep in mind that the WNBA uses a smaller basketball so shooting should be at an even higher clip.

also have a hard time watching athletes when I despise the overall character of the league. It’s egocentric and entitled women that don’t seem to appreciate what few fans they have. They complain ALL THE TIME. They try to force fans into watching. Then you have superstars calling fans asking for autographs “weird”. I thought they wanted to be treated like NBA stars?

Hmmmmm. Why are you so sexist?

Wut? NBA stars aren’t dunking because they lack other skills. The elite WNBA stars are good, but there’s a major drop off after that. Suggesting that WNBA players have to take more skillful shots is incorrect.

And because the league actually allows defense, there's much more competition on both ends of the court.

You’re misinterpreting good defense for poor shooting, lack of coordination and body control, and poor handles.

College sports in general draw in fans because there’s stronger connections to the school and team. That said, major CFB is close to the talent of UFL, which would put it 2nd or 3rd in terms of the best football played. The WNBA is a worse product than the NBA, most big Euro Leagues, G League, college basketball, and probably elite HS Boys Basketball. That makes the WNBA at best around the 8th best level of hoops you can watch.

No, I'm pretty sure the posters in this (and all WNBA threads on this board) have made it perfectly clear why they don't support the league.

Because it’s a net worthless endeavor and most of the players seem to be entitled assholes.

Imagine being you and caring so much

Read it again. WNBA players require more skill to make baskets than simply dunking it.

Of course not. And I never said that.

I don't believe so. If the NBA was able to get away with what the WNBA is allowed on defense, you'd see a LOT more missed shots.

Not sure why you're comparing men's sports to women's sports?

I hope you're not one of those who believes a tranny should be allowed to play women's sports.

Whatever they make up for by not dunking (which is a weird assessment from you anyway), is negated by the skill MANY NBA athletes have regarding 35 foot three pointers. I can’t stand the way the NBA is played these days, but any fool can tell you the shooting is off the charts nowadays.

I agree, but you've misread my post or maybe I didn't make myself clear. Because women don't dunk, it takes more teamwork (passing, dribbling, shooting) to get the ball in the basket as opposed to simply dunking it.

This is such a small item to use when comparing the sport. What do you mean “more” teamwork? More than what, or who? I’d argue that superior passing and dribbling leads to some wide open dunks in the NBA.

True, but there's a lot more 1-on-1 in the NBA IMO and like you said, a lot of shooting 3s.

But I have noticed that as the shooting gets better in the W, there are more and more 3s taken. I haven't looked at the stats so maybe it just seems that way to me.

Did you ever play basketball even at the high school level?

Those girls would get smoked by a freshman AAU team.

It’s not good basketball.
It’s not average basketball.
It’s BAD basketball.

And they double down by exemplifying some of the worst stereotypes imaginable. Just utterly insufferable.

You need to just stick to endlessly defending Angel Reese.
