Williams v. Fields. Bears are a dumpster fire.

Personally, I think the Bears are further fricking up with taking Williams and dumping Fields.

Physically they look to be very very similar with basically identical skill sets.

The issue with the Bears is that they have ZERO offensive weapons to surround a QB with.

Should have traded the #1, moved down, got a bunch in return. Draft a legit WR1 and some OL.

This dumping Fields for the next flavor of the week is dumb. But it is to be expected by such a poorly run organization.

Additionally, I don’t think any of the QBs projected in this draft to be generational talents.

How does DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Cole Kmet equal zero weapons? That is better options than many teams have.

1. Caleb Williams would be hard pressed to come in and be a worse passer than Fields. Fields was in year 3 and still looked horrible. That’s not good in today’s NFL, especially a for a first round pick with his experience coming in.

2. You would soon have to commit a large chunk of your cap to him, then hope and pray he becomes a better passer. Caleb will be on a rookie deal which keeps your window open longer. The bears have plenty to build around him with how they fleeced the panthers

The trade market for fields tells you all you need to know about his true value.

If anything Drafting Williams resets the clock to pay a QB 50 million a year

Their skill sets are extraordinarily different. Williams is a passer first, with extreme accuracy to all levels with touch, and is deadly accurate while non the move.

Fields is one of the best athletes in the NFL, but he is immaculate throwing the football to the point that his throws turn TD’s into first downs.

Very stupid take.

First off Williams is considered a lot better than Fields.

Williams will be on a rookie contract for five years

Bears are much better now than when Fields was drafted

Moore, Allen, and Kmet are all well above average at their position. None are Superstars, but all are very good.

OL is improved.

It was an easy decision.

I agree with you on Williams and Fields, but this team has plenty of weapons:

DJ Moore
Keenan Allen
Kmet
Swift

That’s not terrible for sure. Better than most…

You don't win w/o a QB. It starts and ends there.

Everyone says this. But it's easier said than done. No team below them would be willing to give up the draft capital needed to move up to 1/1.

And Fields is garbage. I'm still pissed that the Steelers picked him up. He's gonna cost Mike Tomlin his job.

Yes. But he can't play the position for shite. He can't read defenses, he's inaccurate, and his 4Q numbers are abysmal.

Well he seems similar to Pickett but with the ability to run and a big arm to make big plays.
