The point still remains that he runs through a shitty schedule and can’t beat a team that has the talent to match up. I’ll give you Clemson in 2020, but when else? Day’s teams have been soft as baby shite

The polls have PSU as a top 10 team. OSU went on the road and won that game by double digits this season. PSU and Michigan are very similar overall talent right now.

OSU for sure shite the bed Saturday. That game should have been like 27-6 at the half. Instead it was a 3 point game with OSU's secondary looking lost

Just last year UGA lost a "home" game in Atlanta by 3 possessions to Bama, then won the whole thing.

OSU has been without Njigba basically all year and without a healthy Henderson all year. Those are 2 explosive players who you just can't replicate easily. No excuse for the game on Saturday but that is an interesting side note.

To be honest with you, I thought this was his year to win it all. He had a really bad injury year (along with the above the secondary never really got healthy). We played a converted LBer as the primary RB last weekend. We had injuries to 1, 2, 3, and a walkon 5th RB this year with only a true frosh at RB and the converted LB.

However, I figured with no Corum they would play safe on the backend against Michigan and win something like 41-24. Obviously I was way wrong.

They could still win it this year if they get in. Everyone knows they have the talent

That stupid thread about OSU or Michigan resting their players in The Game...in a 12-team playoff...

Well understand this...fans were chanting for Urban Meyer at the end of The Game.

Twitter was a buzz about firing Day for losing to Michigan twice.

Ohio State fans have no patience and want Day fired...nor would they ever accept laying down in the The Game against Michigan to "rest players." frick the MNC, beating Michigan is more important.

You laugh, and I laugh because it's absurd. However, there was a thread on 11 warriors just last week asking this question and people legit said beating Michigan is more important. It is absurd

If OSU loses to Michigan every year for the next 10 but somehow won 10 national titles, I wouldn't give one little turd about losing to Michigan

I don’t feel Day should be fired, but he does need to reevaluate how he is doing things. The one thing Urban brought to the table was an edge and players that fit that mold. Say what you want about CUM, but he was one hell of a coach in big moments and games (wish he was still here with Day as OC)! Day needs to meet with him and get that mentality installed. I also don’t feel, he gets the rivalry and importance of it! Saying you do is One thing, but living it is another.

As for Knowles, he needs to get his own players in there and allow time for the system fully be implemented.

If he loses to Michigan again next year, not only will he not win a natty there, he will no longer be the coach.

They won’t tolerate it in Columbus. Especially in the fashion they’ve lost the last 2 years. Hard fought losses are one thing. Giving up 75 and 85 yard rushing TDs in the 4th Q in that game is something that’s never happened.

The problem with Urban though is he had games like last Saturday’s, against unranked teams like Purdue in 2018. Michigan is also considerably better than they were for most of Urban’s career, especially early on.

Firing a HC with a 56-6 record?

Expectations are very high in Columbus. Fan expectations tend to be unrealistic for the most part.

I hate the national championship or your season wasn't successful mentality that is prevalent today but it is what it is and at Ohio State that is the expectation of many fans.

Same expectations there. It's viewed as total failure if that game isn't won.

So Day will 100% be fired if he goes 11-1 next year with his only loss being to Michigan?
Y'all kept Cooper for like 12 years and he only beat Michigan twice.

If it was up to certain fans yes but I don't think that's how it would play out.

I don't think that post was by a Buckeye and no, I don't think he'll lose his job next year at 11-1 with a loss to them.

He's coached two full seasons so far, so...

He’s 45-5 so he can obviously coach, but this year and last his off nose has struggled when he plays physical, smash mouth teams and has lost when he faced teams with equal talent.

Now that’s saying something that there are what, 5 teams maybe with comparable talent?

His offense needs to get more physical

So this year and the offensive struggle don’t count because he hanst played in his bowl game yet?

Y’all very well could back door into the playoffs again, but do you really like your chances against UGA or UM?
