That’s semifinals appearances and record

You can’t be happy with Day’s performance given the conference he coaches in. And it wouldn’t surprise anyone if he has peaked.

He'll win 42 titles and then steal home.

He’s dominated that conference. He’s 31-2 in Big Ten games, and the Big Ten is the second best conference. I get that people like to clown him because both losses are to Michigan, but 31-2 over four years isn’t chopped liver.

That conference is pure trash

22 point loss to Michigan

Loss at home to 4 loss Oregon
15 point loss to Michigan

28 point loss to Alabama

Plenty squeaking by to shite teams and one of the playoffs Day made i think OSU played 6 games and didn’t look great in them

Maybe I’m overvaluing OSU as a program and Day is doing fantastic

But from where I’m sitting, I think he is underperforming

I mean. Day has one? Lol

Harbaugh has coached 132 more college football games than Day.

In about 10 years, if Day is still at Ohio State with one playoff win, I'll be worried.

You’ll be worried if OSU doesn’t win another playoff game in the next decade?

4 had to build a program to achieve that playoff win.

Completely irrelevant.

We didn't need someone to rebuild the program. We needed someone to keep winning, which Day has done.

I didn't put him there. The data did that for me.

What did you say?

Ok let me edit my post

You’ll be worried if OSU doesn’t win another playoff game with Day as you head coach in the next decade?

Only one team wins the national championship every year dude. I also love how you listed four of his five TOTAL losses as the reason he sucks in college football, it’s hard to win every game, so you’re going to be disappointed if that’s your expectation. For perspective, Nick Saban has won seven NCs in his career. Five of those teams lost a game. Urban Meyer won three NCs, and all three teams lost a game.

Correct, that would be troubling.

The guy has been a head coach for 4 years, and has amassed a record of 45-5. He's only 43.

I feel confident in his ability to win a championship at Ohio State eventually.

This is terrible perspective

Saban has 6 NCs from 2009 to 2021

Of teams that didn’t win the NC..

2008 lost 0 regular season games and would have we been in a playoff
2013 lost 1 game @ #4 Auburn and would have been in a playoff
2014 lost 1 game @ #11 Ole Miss, 12-1 through the SECCG and would have been in a playoff
2016 lost 0 games, 14-0 through the SECCG and semifinal
2018 lost 0 games, 14-0 through the SECCG and semifinal
2021 lost 0 games, 14-0 through the SECCG and semifinal

And nearly all of the losses Saban suffered were last second heartbreaks.

This is NOTHING comparable to Day in his shite conference.

You can’t whittle that down to anything shorter than a decade?

I'm sure I could, but it sufficiently addresses the "Day has one lol" comment that was made.

It's not like Ohio State, as a program, doesn't regularly crap the bed. For a "Blue Blood" they really haven't been that impressive. No tiles in the 80s or 90s. Bogus PI call against Miami to win in 2002. Couldn't even consistently win the B1G when Penn State and Michigan were down. Is this really a consistent championship program?

They've won 11 out of the last 20 B1G championships and weren't eliigible in 2012 (12-0). I think that's fairly consistent.

There are 131 FBS programs. At least 125 of them would gladly trade places with OSU in the Day era.

You keep bringing up his “shite conference” as if the Big Ten East wasn’t a better division than the SEC West this year. It was, and I also don’t get your other point. Here is a breakdown of Day’s seasons in Columbus.

2019: undefeated until playoff. Lost close game to Clemson.

2020: undefeated until playoff. Won one playoff game and got whipped in the NC game. Bama has done this before too.

2021: 11-2 record. Missed playoff but in contention until final game

2022: 11-1 record. Likely miss playoff but in contention until final game

This game also has a huge asterisk on it with that BS call from the SEC crew on the Clemson fumble.
