I think a lot of people were surprised he took the Minnesota job when he was a hot coaching name. He has done an absolutely excellent job there and is clearly a great HC.

It seems very unlikely that a team like Minn can keep him if one of the big boys comes calling.

Where do you see him going next?

Michigan makes a lot of sense.

I think he just signed a new deal. Not sure what his buyout is.

Irish makes sense but I don’t think he’s going to leave the North/Midwest. USC doesn’t seem like a fit. He’s spent almost all of his coaching career there.

He should.

This is a great coaching job this year but you can't turn Minnesota into a perennial Big 10 power in this day and age.

He's demonstrated that he can build a program. Now he needs to go somewhere that will allow him to sustain it.

If he is bringing in recruits from Georgia and IMG Academy then it is a possibility.

What’s the question? I don’t think Fleck leaves this year, and I don’t think Harbaugh lasts forever at Michigan.

A premiere Big 10 job makes sense for Fleck.

If Fleck terminates his contract with Minnesota, he’d owe the school the following termination fee:

$10 million through December 31, 2020
$4.5 million from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021
$3 million from January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2023
$2 million from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2025
$0 from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026

Any big school will pay that. It’s the cost of doing business.

I didn't mean to say it was impossible to make Minnesota an elite program. But it's more difficult to sustain it there.

No one wants to make their job more difficult if they don't have to.

The B1G West isn't good. So there's that.

Obviously doubtful this happens, but FSU should throw a boatload if money at him. They need someone who can destroy that garbage loser culture they’ve developed.
