But there’s no real argument in the CFP committee if OU wins Saturday.
OU by 1, tOSU by 50.

Still no discussion if that happens this weekend?

In the end who brings better ratings?

Oklahoma vs Alabama
Ohio State vs Alabama

We know the answer to this.

I think it will go to OSU if they win convincingly again.

I mean there should be a discussion anyway.

If OU wins something like 41-38 and OSU wins something like 52-17. That means OSU will have back to back dominating wins over top 25 teams and OU will have gone to the wire with 2 top 25 teams. Momentum probably matters to the committee as it is human nature, but we have no idea what goes on in that room

And the Purdue score is the only reason this is a discussion the other way. What's probably going to happen is the committee will look at the game objectively and beyond the final score. It'll be close, and it's far from a given that Oklahoma is in with a win.

Another possible factor: In 2014 the committee dropped undefeated Florida State down to #3 behind two 1-loss teams, and we all pretty much agree that this was because of an off-the-field issue.

tOSU had an unsavory off-the-field issue this year that cost their coach a few games. In a photo finish between the two schools, don’t be shocked to see this break the tie.

I thought it was 100% because of how crappy they looked every game and how they needed 4th quarter comebacks week after week against bad teams?

Anyway, that could weight in I guess too. If there is any hope to expanding the playoff in the near future, leaving OU or OSU out at 12-1 and a conference champ would be just the thing I would think, based on the prestige of those 2

That's exactly why. Florida State had a poor showing against a bad team, and Oregon demolished a decent team. That's why they dropped them initially. The second time, Florida State struggled again and TCU cleaned house.

Michigan was way overrated and let’s be careful saying they were the number one D in the country... just look at those awful offenses they played against.....

Was simply spittin fact, Peej, entering The Game they were the no. 1 ranked defense nationally in many categories and many of their defenders were on watch lists for major awards if not big boards for 2019 draft first round

OU would kill Ohio St

I think they are in over Ohio St

I see both teams winning Saturday by double digits and it won’t be enough for Ohio st to jump them

Both defenses are shite and to be honest neither "Deserve" to be in but OU does not have a bad loss and tOSU does. Everything else is pretty much equal.

Michigan was the perfect matchup for Ohio State.

Oklahoma would score at will, but so would Ohio State.

It would be interesting.
