They were just overhyped out of high school And were never even the best players their seasons in college. And now none of them are game changers in the nba. Whereas luka, booker, jokic were all mostly over looked. Yeah I know luka was still a lottery but he didn’t have any of the hype those other guys did. When will teams and GMs learn not to trust the ESPN hype train?

Weird time to shite talk Ayton when he's been great this postseason.

he’s been solid but he’s at best the third option on his team. He’s a number one overall pick and he’s nothing like Anthony edwards or Zion. He should be way better than he is

I wouldn’t put Ayton in this group. He has torn it up all Playoffs

dude, wtf does ESPN have to do with this. nobody knows for sure who will be great. you take your chances with that top pick each year. and their have been way worse 1st round picks than the guys you listed

maybe if you swapped him and booker in the draft. He’s a number one pick in a sport with 5 starting players. He should be transcendent which he’s not

Luka was the most hyped Euro ever and it's pretty easy to understand why he or Jokic wouldn't be as hyped as American college top prospects.
Booker was a pretty random player in college and still went in the lottery so I don't get mentioning him.

luka and trae both selected after ayton. Michael porter has been solid as well. Some other talent but nothing groundbreaking.

Are you even bothering to look at Ayton’s playoff stats?

yeah his playoff high is a whopping 22 points against the lakers in games 1 and 2. He had 17 rebounds one game but again as Ive said before he’s a number 1 pick which should be better than a rebound machine who’s decent on defense.

What? Edwards had a good month or two, but no. Not by like any metric. Ayton is a better defender to start and then you look at any of the stats and Edwards was basically a net negative player for the season. Ayton has turned it on the postseason and needs to show this in the regular season, but your post is asinine.

Edwards had a negative VORP, negative Box Plus/Minus, negative Offensive Win Shares, a below league average PER, he shot 32% from 3, and had basically a 1:1 turnover to assist ratio.

I think Edwards will be a good player, but this post is dumb.
