dude OSU is relying on an untested true freshman QB on the road. it's not even arguments "in favor" of Arizona. it's arguments of caution about OSU

But I also know that Boise State was favored by 13 points in their bowl game last year against Arizona State. I further know that I have a fully functioning brain and could tell you that Boise would win by 30 every day of the week

Arizona State was 6-6 going into the bowl game last year after starting 6-6. Their 6 loses were by 7, 14, 1, 10, 4, 11. All to BCS teams The 14 point loss was to #4 Oregon, AT Oregon. They also beat top 10 USC by 21.

So dispite losing only 1 game ALL YEAR, by more than 13, a 14 point loss, on the road vs the #4 team , and beating a top 10 team by 21, you think they should have been 30 point dogs on a neutral field to Boise. I guess you would have had Boise as what a 15-16 point favorite over Oregon. Now, you tell me who know more about the quality of these teams, you or LVSC?

ETA: and lets not consider other factors, like Boise was set to make a BCS bowl, maybe the BCS CG but instead wound up in the Las Vegas Bowl vs a .500 team that fired its coach. That can and has killed motivation before.

You keep saying this. I had to use a line as an example, otherwise I would have written a goddamn novella

it would be a novella of cherry picking.

The fact that you can find lines that you thought were off and turned out to be right still doesn't mean jack shite. It really doesn't tell us one way or another whether the guy setting the lines knows football to great depths, with accurate power ratings or sets lines based on mascot names. The fact you think that because he's not 100% on the muber every time shows your lack of understanding. You are like the dolts that rip a draft guru because he said some guy would be all pro and that guy turned out to be a stiff. There are a billion and 1 factors that determine the outcome of a game but for the most part, the lines are pretty accurate because the dudes at LVSC know more than the avg fan. If they were as wrong and uncaring as you say, they'd be out of business.

Also, while Boise State was 11-1 straight up, they were 4-8-0 ATS last year.

It was Free Money, dude.

Zero chance of Boise not rolling by 30 in that game.

Again, are you gonna keep saying this? I had to pick an example. Would you like some others?

(2)
My process is to handicap the games myself before I see the lines and then base my wager amount on the discrepancy between my line and the actual line.

I've been doing this for four years. I'm up quite a bit. What does this tell you about my handicapping skills vis a vis LVSC?

(3)
I'll be in the stacks banging your mother.

Get hyped. Week 2 betting thread will be fun, but we need an exclusive game thread.
