Why is Ohio State 6 with no path to the top 4?

Probably the strangest part of the rankings right now
Why are Texas and Alabama behind a team with no more games and no path to the top 4. Texas and Alabama have paths by winning their conferences.
Why make Texas and Alabama jump Ohio State in the final rankings. Have them ahead of Ohio State now. If Texas or Alabama lose then Ohio State will be ahead of them at the end.
Meaningless in the end but makes zero sense.

Because they considered them to be better than Texas and Bama?
They were #2 and lost to #3 by single digits. How far should they have dropped?

OSU had a path to the top 4 but it did involve a bunch of really wacky shite (UM big win + losses by UT, UO, Bama, and FSU).
UT won so I'm pretty sure OSU has no path anymore.

Bro this committee has fricked this up from day one and I can’t believe I’ve been one of the only ones melting about it.
I really had respect for the MSB but this year has shown me it’s just a bunch of gay LSU and WestCoast(my phone autocorrected to that lol) trolls.
They probably have OSU at 6 to save face and just be another buffer between Alabama and the playoff.
Zero logic was used to rank teams this year because this committee will do anything to keep Alabama out.

They only have 2 wins vs good teams

I'm definitely not looking forward to that, but it's a lock unless they leave unfeated FSU out for Bama.

Bama has gotten favor from damn near everyone in recent years. Now all of a sudden when they are treated fairly, it's a problem.
If Bama wins the SEC, they would get in over tOSU 100%. If they lose, they obviously don't get in as a 2 loss team.
The problem is now, Texas won their CCG handily and should absolutely get into the 4 team playoff over Bama (should it come to that) because of the head to head.

What have they fricked up royally? If Alabama beats Georgia, they will be ranked above Ohio state by virtue of their conf title. They don’t deserve to be above them today. They got beat by two scores on their own field to a team ranked one spot ahead of them. Even if they win this, they don’t have a more deserving resume than Michigan, Texas, Washington, or FSU.
Going to be funny when the committee has to choose a 1 loss SEC team over an unbeaten P5 champ and uses the QB as the logic. But right now, Alabama doesn’t deserve to be ranked higher than they are.
