She didn't psyche herself up for the first vault which had an identical difficulty.

It was only after nailing her first vault (which gave her a comfortable lead) that she screamed for the second vault and pumped her arms.

FYI, the "Rant" cares. Several people display their displeasure with his "showboating".

the 100m dash is the single most glamorous, flamboyant event in the olympics. It has a history of bold and brash characters, and showboating and bravado is expected.

Because it was fun and maybe perople need to lighten up. Bolt's a lot of fun. He ran the race was one shoe untied as well. AND his prerace meal was Chicken McNuggets.

The guy is entertaining as hell.

Yeah, I've seen subsequent interviews and he just looks like a 21 year old kid who's having the time of his life.

Wonder if he can catch a football?

The Niners signed Nehemiah (in 84 if I remember correctly)... why not Bolt?

Nice. I guess that guy could explain to us then how the whole field ran a 3.5 considering Bolt didn't really start to separate until after 40 m.

It's impossible for a TV guy to be dumber than I think.

Quite possible that they framed it and took his fastest 40 consecutive meters for a 3.5. Course not equivalent to a 40 m dash. Quite possible that at top speed he was in the range.
