He and Giannis are comparable athletes and Zion has like 50 pounds on him. Not saying he'll be as good as Giannis, but trying to downplay Zion's athleticism is just stupid. He's an absolute freak of nature.

So the most athletic guy in the NBA who’s got a great shot to win the MVP is as athletic as Zion.

Well frick Zion then he sucks.

Also, Zion has like 45 lbs on Giannis

The only concern I have about Zion is his size. He's 6'7" but really muscular.

So in college he plays inside a lot, and due to his size and athleticism he can dominate.

But in the NBA is he big enough to play bully ball down low? Can he play on the perimeter like a guard?

He's somewhat of a tweener, and those guys have a difficult time fitting in.

Yes but Draymond Green is a role player. That's fine for a role player. I have little doubt he can be as good as Draymond Green.

But he's projected to be a star player. At his size, I question if he can reach that level even with his amazing athleticism.

OK, let's go backwards here, what current player(s) are you impressed with and what player would you take instead if you had a #1 pick.

Role player is really short changing him. How many role players have made two All-NBA teams, four All-Defensive teams, and Defensive Player of the Year?

Zion's offensive game is also way better than Draymond's. He's actually shot really well from 3 in the second half of the season.

I mean, Draymond IS a role player, just not in the sense that we usually think of, I guess.

Half-baked thought from me, sorry. I get what you're saying

You asked for an example and I gave you one. I never said Zion sucked(in this thread at least).

No way Zion plays at that weight in the nba. I have a feeling he’ll slim down some.

Draymond is a great role player. But he's still a role player.

Draymond Green isn't a player you build your team around.

Zion is a better offensive player in college because of his supreme athleticism. He can rely on it in college but it will be more difficult for him in the NBA.

He doesn't have much of a perimeter game like a star NBA player at the 3 would. And he's undersized at the 4 to play bully ball down low in the NBA.

As for shooting, he's only shooting 30% from the college 3. Obviously a ton of time to improve, but it's not like he is anywhere close to reliable from deep. Draymond shot 38% from 3 the year before he entered the NBA, fyi.

Although he could be really good in the NBA, I question whether he can be a superstar player you build your team around.

He’s going to have to slim down. Now way his body lasts at that weight playing the style he plays.

This is valid. System he's in at the next level will also play a significant part.

Time will tell.
