They don’t hate OSU. They hate the cult-level fans. Meaning they hate Michigan and TAMU as well.

Honestly, I don’t hate Michigan.

I’ve been to games against just about every program being discussed in this thread and then some.

Michigan fans themselves are perfectly fine. The cops there are another story. TAMU fans are great in person. Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, USC, Texas, LSU (except for one idiot in the upper deck of the Super Dome), Wisconsin, Washington, Clemson, FSU - all good experiences.

Ohio State had a higher dipshit quotient than most. Ditto Penn State.

I’ve heard OSU has gotten better, but they were at one time far and away the worst. Just a huge chip on the shoulder, little brother syndrome kind of thing - guessing the success over the last 10+ years has mellowed them some.

NC State fans are pretty terrible also. And while we're talking about lousy fans, there's a pretty large contingent of 'Cuse fans that are drunk, obnoxious Yankee assholes.

Throw Pitt in that group as well - ridiculous experiences playing them. Maryland, too.

Which is hilarious because he is the 100% opposite of that. His players love him, he does tons for the community and the biggest things people hate about him are he may dye his beard and thinks his team should have been ranked #1 going into the 2019 playoffs after being #1 in the advanced stats. Oh and he complains and fights for his team when he feels there are bad calls or bad talk about his team from the media.

Oh the horror

Yeah, Pitt and West Virginia have their share.

I think it’s probably that and the student body has changed a ton, way higher academic standards has led to having less “idiots” on campus at all times.

I was just having this conversation with my mom. I said ND fans are mostly cool IRL, so I would normally root for them next week. Freeman is also likable. That said, I have a large futures bet on OSU, so I feel a little dirty.

OSU may have trashy fans, but almost every program does. Michigan has its share of Walmart Wolverines.

I couldn’t root for a rival. Much like I can’t root for the Chargers in this game, as a Broncos fan.

They are both huge rivals of Michigan.

I don’t hate them but they do come across as kind of douchey/entitled. I guess it stems from Meyer. That said, I like Bobby Carpenter and AJ Hawk in media, they seem like cool dudes.

Penn St and Michigan have by far worse fans than Ohio State. You might just see more OSU fans since OSU is the biggest brand in sports so naturally you'll see a lot of retards in there that never went to the school. But M and Pedo fans are much much worse.

Had to do a double take on that myself.

“Which rival is he talking about?”

For Michigan fans, this is like watching Auburn / Tennessee or Auburn / LSU as an Alabama fan.

Back in the day before the SEC dominance was apparent in the early 2000’s Ohio State fans were the biggest shite talkers on the old ESPN forums.

Not that I doubt you, but what have either of these programs accomplished to make their fans feel like they have a right to be that bad?
