Why did it take Freeman 3 years to get back to the top 5 program he inherited?

I'm pretty sure ND was top 5 prior to his hiring.....

If you are trying to make this a Freeman/Kelly thing you are only going to come off looking like an idiot. Freeman has proven to be better than Kelly.

The bickering is wild. I can acknowledge that Freeman is a good coach and also say Kelly has done a good job building us back up.

I expect us to have a good year next year

By doing the same thing Kelly did at ND? If Freeman wins it all, then yes, he will be better.

And I like Freeman as a coach.

Based on what? Freeman inherited a rogram finishing top 5 and just now got them back there.
Kelly inherited a dumpster fire won the west in year 1 while Freeman won't frick all.
Kelly finished ranked higher than ND in year 2.
Freeman finally got back to the program he inherited.

You decided to make a post criticizing Freeman right after Notre Dame beat no. 2 seed Georgia in the playoffs?

Strange timing.

I do too... seems like a great young coach.... but like you said... Kelly has done everything Freeman did at ND and more. Kelly made a 4 team playoff. Kelly made a national title game. Kelly took over an also ran ND and made them into a to 5 program again.

I’m curious what the Freeman > BK posters think Freeman would’ve done here if he had taken over in 2022

Bull shite! Just like when Kelly was at Notre Dame they have an easy freaking path to the playoffs. They should be in it every year playing that pussy schedule they have every year.

freeman was making 4 mil excluding incentives the last three years

he just got a raise that will pay him 9 mil a season

if we are judging Kelley and Freeman at year 3 than i think Freeman has him beat and at a cheaper price tag

Have you read the board?
Freeman is all of the sudden proven better than Kelly because he got ND to the same exact point Kelly had them when he took over.

Maybe if you don't read the rant.

Freeman's most difficult games this entire regular season were: Texas A&M and 2 Military Academies.

BK's most difficult games this regular season were: Alabama, South Carolina, Ole Miss, then Florida, then Texas A&M.

LSU's 5th hardest game this year was Freeman's 1st hardest game this year.

Yes TAMU beat UF, but it was back when Florida was a shite show and were terrible. Late season Florida when LSU played them would beat TAMU.

Kelly EMBARRASSED ND when, because of a schedule of lightweights, he got to the big stage. Bama 42-14 only because Saban was kind. Clemson 30-3 and if that game were still going 6 years later, ND would STILL not have a touchdown

I think Freeman is a good coach but we have yet to see him build a program. It's also a very different thing when your SOS is in the 40 and 50's compared to top 10 like lsu.
