From an engineering standpoint La Tech is woefully underappreciated in the state of Louisiana. However nationally it punches above its weight academically.

UL-M’s health science college is legit. Their pharmacy college is still solid. Their accounting department in the college of business is solid.

Their construction management is also top 10 in the country as well as their risk management and insurance program. I’ll give it to Bruno he really helped the school grow academically and it looks way better than it did before he got there. But he put athletics in the gutter.

You didn't say that, though. LSU is the worst school in the SEC academically. So trying to argue between LSU/ULL, etc is a lost cause. The moment Tulane wants to value football, LSU's brand will suffer.

Well it’s Louisiana that’s not surprising. People pump truck loads of cash into athletics and nada back into academics. The new engineering building at LSU is nice I will add.

Been saying this for years.
All 4 year universities not named LSU, La Tech, UL and the HBCUs need to be shrunk into 2 year campuses that feed into their respective universities.
NW St, ULM and LSUS feed LA Tech.
Mcneese and Nichols feed UL.
SELU and UNO feed LSU.
There’s no damn reason Louisiana needs as many 4 year universities as they have. This would help with budget issues and would give the state 3 major athletic programs to put all their focus on. Most of which still going to LSU.
All 4 year universities not named LSU, La Tech, UL and the HBCUs need to be shrunk into 2 year campuses that feed into their respective universities.
