Why can’t Colorado be consistently competitive?

You’d think out of the talent they can pull from Denver , Texas and the west coast, they’d be half decent with a 10 or 11 win season mixed in there every now and then. I don’t see how these guys barely sniff .500 on a regular basis. If I’m a coach, I feel good about being able to recruit quality athletes to Boulder. The PAC is so down it wouldn’t take much to run through that conference. I wouldn’t use the term sleeping giant but they’re definitely a sleeper program. Get a good coach out there.

Yeah, easy selling point to the recruits who all smoke like crazy anyways.

I think their admin/student support is nonexistent.

Boulder is gorgeous during all seasons but football season.

The administration neutered the program and recruiting after the Dan Hawkins sexual assault era.

They lost the pipeline to Los Angeles because it got real dicey on campus with some of those guys. And I don't think there's much local talent.

Zero football culture at CU, the students don’t care nor do the faculty.

What do you mean? Like those LA kids didn’t like it there?

Colorado loves their Broncos I don’t see why they couldn’t support a college program. You gotta win. Once you win, they come. It’s funny how shallow people are in that regard.

Is ashaad Clayton in transfer portal??

No recruiting base. They've had success when they are able to pull gangbangers out of Cali, NOLA, and Dallas.

Back in the day many of their best players were from LA and they really had no business being in college. It was a real shady pipeline to say the least.

The Buffs had 35 Californians on their 1990 national title team, including pillars such as running back Eric Bieniemy, quarterback Darian Hagan and lineman Joe Garten. That California pipeline continued to feed Bill McCartney’s Buffs with blue-chips through the early ’90s, including the program’s lone Heisman Trophy winner, Rashaan Salaam.

There is no local recruiting base and the alums are extremely apathetic

Was it Hawkins or Gary Barnett?

Ok so basically every major program in CFB?

Their athletic facilities overall are very outdated

Is there a lot of Denver talent? I don’t know. Texas is raided by everyone these days. UT, A&M, TCU, Tech, Baylor, LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, Okie State, Ohio State. Colorado is way down the list. West Coast? Maybe, but you have 4 Pac 12 schools, plus decent programs at Oregon, Washington, WSU, Utah, and Az State.

What kind of admin support do you have?

Dorrell had a good first year. Tucker left them high and dry.
