Anaheim will be formidable.

Im taking Winnipeg as my sleeper. Patrik Laine is incredible.

They need way better goaltending though.

What did the previous roof look like? What will be put there when the old arena gets torn down?

By the SCF, the Pens will have played the equivalent of an extra season in the past three years.

So you're saying the Caps strategy of always losing in the second round is finally gonna pay off? Plan the parade!

Jackets won't have another 16 win stretch, but I think they are a better team than last season. Improved offensively with the Saad/Panarin trade and their young blueline is only getting better. Excited to see what PLD can do (assuming he makes the squad).

Another great regular season will mean nothing if Bob melts down in the playoffs again. As long as he plays to his normal self, they have a roster that can contend with anyone.

I'm not sure it was Bob melting down. I think the Pens have found a glitch in the matrix. The Blue Jackets and Caps finished 1-2 in possession in the postseason, but both lost to the Penguins which seems to suggest the Pens won against the run of play, but...

The Jackets ranked dead last in High Danger Chance % and the Caps 9th of 16. Suggesting that for all of the possession the Penguins gave up, they didn't give up chances, and in fact CREATED them at a better rate (Pens finished 7th). Essentially, the Penguins played the Italian soccer team. They parked the bus, and waited for those brief moments when they got a counter, and their skill guys are so good, they were able to take advantage of their rare chances (also, they had a goalie playing out of his goddamn mind).

I don't think Bob turned into a pumpkin, I think he got hung out to dry. He didn't face a barrage of shots, but the few shots he faced were all prime scoring chances.

I'm not trying to discredit the Penguins because they played great. It was just abundantly clear Bob wasn't his usual self. He couldn't control rebounds well at all and allowed in way too many soft goals.
