Washington mother fricking Capitals. Since I was 6 years old. Won our first cup in 2018 and got to go to a finals game with my brother. I cried like a bitch. That’ll always be my childhood sports team. We watched every game and went to many before I went to college.

There is something about seeing your team win a Cup that is unlike anything else. I felt a weird mojo for you guys on that run because it was a lot like Wings '96-'97 in the sense that you had a great team for multiple years and the window seemingly closed. But, no one blew it up and everything finally came together for your stud player and team (Yzerman/Ovi).

I watched the games live back when it happened, but the past couple of weeks the regional Fox Sports here showed all the wins from the Stars 99 Cup run and I still got chills.

NY Rangers fan by way of Houston cable carrying WOR in the 80s.
