Another great documentary is the Dock Ellis Dockumentary. He was all of these guys rolled into one in the 70s.

I was in 9th grade and hated those Mets, but boy were they interesting and fun to watch. One of the greatest MLB postseasons ever.

Cards Mets rivalry in the mid 80s was as intense as the Blues/Blackhawks. Tudor vs Gooden, Strawberry hitting moonshots while one of them hit the scoreboard clock in right at Busch. Fights both on and off the field galore. Pre Wild Card, it was either win or go home, so it was only fitting that this documentary was aired while the Cards killed the Mets’ playoff hopes….again.

I watched the first 2 episodes last night. Entertaining and interesting, even though I’ve heard of or read about almost all of the stories around the ‘86 Mets. They’ve been written about to death. Enjoyed seeing the 4 brawls in which they participated. And pretty much won all 4.

I will watch the last 2 episodes tonight, even though it will suck to relive Games 3 and 6 of the NLCS. It will be fun to watch the Mets cry about Mike Scott again.

I give the ‘86 Mets their due, though. That’s as good of team I’ve seen since the Big Red Machine of the ‘70s. They should have won at least another World Series with that group.

Very good

Confirmed my beliefs that Kieth Hernandez was a great player BUT a bigger a-hole!

Im halfway through 2 and thought that would be the last episode. Idk how they're squeezing 4 episodes out.

I had no idea how stacked this team was. I always thought doc, dwight, and even Dykstra weren't even around this early. Kevin Mitchell and HoJo just playing utility man, stacked rotation etc etc.

I need to find my DVDs and transfer them to digital. I have all the 86 WS games and the 16 inning game 6 of the NLCS ON DVD.

And here it is, the great Howard Bryant claiming that Kevin Mitchell replacing George Foster could still be racist.

Pendelton's HR off Roger McDowell gave the Cards the East division for good. Damn, I feel young again.
