The only PG to really succeed recently is Parker.

Rondo was huge for Boston in 2010, and last year when they made their run to the ECF against Miami.

Does anyone remember his play against Cleveland and Orlando in those series? Against LA in the Finals?

Would you say Lebron was the 3rdish bet player in the NBA in 2007 when he lead a team of nobodies to the finals? I would. I think that proved you don't need HOF caliber teammates to take a team past the second round. Paul is a talented player. But he needs to win something to be named the "3rd best player in the NBA".

Go lie about your trailer burning down PEEJ. Leave the NBA talk to the sane people.

Fact is Kobe is past his prime and there are 10 or so players id rather have than him on my team.

Well nobody said Paul was as good as Lebron lol.

No, i certainly would not.

so before 2012 Dirk was better than Lebron? More team success, so...

Your trying to make the argument that Paul is the 3rd best player in the NBA. Lebron is the 1st. That would put them pretty close.

Well Dirk did beat Lebron straight up in the Finals, with a less talented team at that...

But I think it's obvious winning a championship gave Lebron validity as one of the NBA's best. It would do the same for Paul.

No it wouldn't. Why would you assume that the gap between the 1st and 2nd guy is the same as 2nd and 3rd which is the same as 3rd and 4th and so on...

You think whoever was 2nd best during MJ's time was pretty close to MJ? No.

ugh boy.

For those who think exactly like ESPN and all of those outlets think and write about every day, yea it did.

For those who know that team success is separate from individual success, they know that Lebron was no better after game 5 of last year's Finals than he was 3 hours before, right before game 5 tipped off. He was the same player before and after that game started.

This guy is using the same stupid argument that people use for NFL quarterbacks. He probably would rather have Trent Dilfer over Dan Marino because he had more post season success.

You're wrong. After the game, he was an NBA Champion. I'm certain that if you asked Lebron, he would say winning a championship is all that matters. Being a regular season hero amounts to shite.

saying I'm wrong doesn't make me wrong.

To think the actual player is better or worse after 1 game is baffling and ridiculous.

he was an NBA Champion
So if he stayed in Cleveland and didn't have Bosh or Wade, he would magically be a lesser player? Can we use just a little logic?

It's different for NBA and NFL. In the NFL, there are 21 other guys that are on the field. In the NBA, one man can have a much bigger influence on his teams success.

I'm saying it makes him legitimized as one of the best.

Who knows what would've happened of he stayed in Cleveland. Maybe he would've won a championship anyway, well never know.

No it's not. Players only care about championships. Scoring 30 points while your team loses to the grizzlies in the 1st round doesn't mean anything.

If you didn't already believe LeBron was the best player in the league before last year's finals then you are too sports ignorant to even begin arguing with.

Right, whether you win or lose is irrelevant to how good the individual is.

30 points and 10 assists in a losing series makes you a better player than 18 points and 3 assists in a winning series every single time, no debate, no question.

Is he a better player after than he was before? Which is it?

Dude, as you can see I'm a pretty big Kobe fan. But even I know Lebron is top dog of the association right now.
