Who's in a worse spot, Orange or Sugar Bowl?

When they don't get a playoff game, it seems like both are in an unenviable position:
-the Sugar Bowl gets a disinterested SEC team and a Big 12 team with a major chip on its shoulder that will probably buy its allotment and then some. Unfortunately for them this year, the good Bapdists from Waco are unlikely to invest much in the local "economy." I think they are much worse off.
-the Orange Bowl gets a trash ACC team, but one that will probably be excited to be there and a lesser SEC team that will also be pretty excited. It won't be a marquee matchup, but at least both fanbases and teams want to be there. Most ACC schools are small though. Alternatively, Big 10 teams travel well. This year the Orange lucked out by getting Florida a nearby team that will be excited to be there. So, I think the Orange has it slightly better

This year it’s the Sugar no doubt. UGA was there last year and I can’t imagine Baylor traveling well for this game. I don’t know much about the Baylor fan base though.

Baylor is in Texas. They’re not far from New Orleans at all.

So every Georgia is just going to be "disinterested" in the sugar bowl? Who the frick do they think they are? Clemson or Alabama? Give me a fricking break.

Baptist’s drink more than you think

Baylor is gonna hyped af and it's a very short distance for then. Being good Bapdists, they'll probably sit in their hotel rooms and and drink diet Coke all night after though. Idk how fans or players for UGA muster any motivation.

i know that georgia gets made fun of for saying "we didn't care about the sugar bowl" and using that as an excuse when we got smoked, but that's probably about to happen again.
As a fan, i could not give less of a shite about the sugar bowl. There is pretty much zero chance i am going to a non playoff bowl game in the foreseeable future. cue jokes about how im not going to any of those either.
i just only have so much money/time to spend and im not gonna put it towards an exhibition game that we are "disappointed" to be in.

I can’t imagine UVA traveling any better than Baylor. So this year I wouldn’t say that, especially Florida being in state They already have a lot of fans in the south Florida area.

It's gonna be a pathetic sight between guys sitting out for the draft and the rest that don't want to be there. Maybe the freshmen will want to show out

I know this isn't the OT, but not everyone is put out by a trip like that.

Distance isn’t the problem. The problem is that Baylor is somewhat notorious for not traveling well, though that may have lessened given their success in the past decade.
The old joke is that their fans will bring a $20 bill and a copy of the Ten Commandments with them and not break either.

That’s better than what a Cotton Bowl official said about U of Houston fans in the late 70s:
“Damn it, half of these (Houston) people will come up here and eat at the 7-Eleven store, and the other half will be trying to hold it up“

As service industry, no longer in New Orleans, I would love this over Bama-OSU.

That orange bowl is a total shitshow. Florida fans around me are like wtf. Sure they want to win 11 games but fricking Virginia.

Would've been great if Wake Forest made it there again

That's an atrocious culture problem for a team to have.

I'm disinterested because I think we're the worst team in the top 8. This offense is putrid. We are probably going to get our arse kicked by Baylor because we genuinely not a great team this year. Defense can only get you so far nowadays

Them Baptists will FLOCK to the FQ. Perfect place for them to "let their hair down?" in anonymity.
