It’s clearly Stafford. Better numbers with a harder schedule.
Rams opponents went 123-115
Rams played 7 teams and 9 games against teams with winning records. Played another 5 teams with 8-9 records.
Patriots opponents went 91-147
The only teams they played with a winning record was the Bills and Steelers and only played 3 games against teams with winning records (went 1-2 in those games) and played 7 teams and 9 games against teams with less than 6 wins.
Stafford had much, much tougher sledding this year.

Played about the same level of pass defenses across the board.

Slight edge to Stafford based upon age and tough division. Not factoring in SOS as it's not like college where you can choose some opponents. You get what you get. Maye played exceptionally well enough to be in the conversation in just his second year, he looked like a 10-year vet. Can't really go wrong with either one though, just Maye will have many more years like this ahead of him.

1. Christian McCaffrey
Over 2,100 total yards from scrimmage and 17 TDs. You're not wrong in that he SHOULD be in the running, but the last RB to win the MVP was Adrian Peterson in 2012, who had over 2,000 yards rushing in 16 games, over 2,200 total yards from scrimmage, in a year that I think voters may have been looking for a reason not to give the award to Manning or Brady again.
Before him, LaDainian Tomlinson in 2006 who had 31 TDs, and Shaun Alexander in 2005 with 28 TDs.
If McCaffrey with his yards scores 20 TDs+ this season, he would probably have a legit shot. However, with the way voters love picking QBs for NFL MVP, in my unprofessional opinion, this is a two man race between Stafford and Maye.

To add to what I mentioned above about WRs and their NFL MVP chances, the AP NFL MVP has never been awarded to a WR. In fact, the only non-QB or RB to receive the award are:
Lawrence Taylor - LB 1986
Mark Freaking Mosely - K 1982
Alan Page - DT 1971

Him and Anthony Richardson being first rounders are hilarious. I’ve said it before but about 50% of the posters on this board could GM a NFL team better than about 50% of the current GMs in the NFL.

Can be misleading especially if you play a lot of terrible teams getting blown out which is what the Patriots faced this year.
Maye had a very good, efficient season against crap competition. Stafford was the best QB in the league in the best division in football this season on arguably the best team in the league.

Allen. What he has done with the worst WR's in the league is mind blowing.

Should be Maye
Will be Stafford
Will be Stafford

If you go off of who the media covers for (or talks about) it would be Sheduer

It's clearly Stafford as the league's passing yards and TD's leader. It's actually crazy he's never been an all pro before and only made 3 pro bowls.
Just goes to show you how far the position of QB has fallen since some of the greatest players to ever do it either got old or retired.

He played a dozen years in Detroit

The question posed was who do I have as MVP, not who the media has as MVP.

Bo Nix or Trevor Lawrence. Both teams would be nowhere close without those two
