Rodgers of the last 6 weeks is playing at a higher level than any QB in history. Should be him. Historic turn around.

Brady 2nd.

How do either deserve it over Ryan?

Brady and Ryan have very similar per-game stats. Brady leads in the important ones: TDs/Game and Ints/Game. TD:Int Ratio. Ryan has a slight edge in YPG. Brady is winning a lot more. They are 13-2. So Brady > Ryan easily.

Rodgers is a different beast. It's about the eye test. His last 6 weeks in terms of performance are better than any QB ever IMO. That is MVP worthy.

This isn't to discredit ryan. It would be 1. Rodgers, 2. Brady, 3. Ryan for me.

My biggest issue with Ryan is that no one on earth would ever even argue that Ryan is the best player on his team. He isn't. Not even CLOSE. So how do you give a guy the MVP when he isn't even the best player on his team?

I think Ryan gets it unless he has a terrible game against Nola

The most impressive player this year is David Johnson IMO, but that team sucks

Carr, Brady, Rodgers and Zeke are all nice options. I'm bummed about Carr, I really like that guy and was looking forward to watching them in the playoffs.

Matt Ryan isn't close to being the best player on his team? What now?

Julio Jones is better... Who else? Maybe Vic Beasley?

Sorry, i meant it like: Julio is the best player by a mile. Ryan might be #2 but there is a large gap between the two.

If we're truly defining MVP as the player who made the biggest W/L difference, Prescott and Zeke are taking basically the same roster that went 4-12 last year without Romo to possibly 14-2 this year.

I agree that Julio Jones is the better player, but look what Atlanta did without him...

Brady hasn't been that much better than Ryan enough to overcome missing four games.

I don't really care how good you are, or who you are. If you got suspended for 4 games, because you broke rules and cheated, you shouldn't be in contention for the MVP award.

Agreed. But on the other hand, nobody on earth would argue Brady is the most valuable player to his team in the NFL

Matt Ryan is easily the best player on the Falcons. Julio is fricking incredible, but a great QB trumps everything.

Also, I don't get the case for Brady at all. Matt Ryan has been the best QB per game, and oh yeah, he has played four more games than Brady.

Holy shite, your post is next level stupid. Do you know the stats that matter or do you make up stuff in your head? Matt Ryan is crushing in most stats that correlate with expected points, which is the goal of an offense.

The Falcons have outscored the Patriots since week 5 when Brady returned. Matt Ryan is the best and most important player on the best offense in the NFL by far.
