Stoops and Doeren are the two to which I was referring.

As for Fleck, he's 4-0 right now following a 9-4 year and making $5.1 at Minnesota. Why would he give that up for a train wreck?

Also, all of his college coaching in college is in the Mac, Big East, and BIG. How does that "fit" AU?

Because he could make double that at Allburn

Since everyone knows Harsin is dead man walking

Two things can happen this weekend:

1. The team knows he's dead, he knows he's dead, they practice flat all week, assistants are thinking about their next jobs, and they come out looking like shite and get demolished by a very pedestrian LSU team.

2. They rally behind Harsin and surprise everyone, including LSU, and win.

I think 75% chance of #1, 25% chance of #2.

If #1 occurs, Harsin might get Herm Edwards'ed on the field.

i mean to be fair the mother fricker is a realyl good and succcessful coach everywhere he goes. everyone said he would fail at minn especially after going 5-6 the 1st year. then after going 11-2 and 3-4 in the covid year everyone called him a 1 year wonder yet he followed that up with a 9-4 last year and is currently 4-0 with a great chance to win the division.

i mean the rant has been hating on him as long as you claim Dracs has been blowing him and currently its pretty convincing that Dracs was right and everyone hating is wrong.

might not like the row the boat shite but he is a damn good coach. I rememebr when people hated the whole saban "process" shite too and wanted him fired after the ole miss game in 01. the call in show was full of guys calling for his head in only year 2. Point is, LSU fans are dumb as frick when it comes to knowing what a good coach is. hell i had someone tell me the other day BK is a terrible coach and that they hate him, couldnt tell me why....just cause.

i mean....coach O was about the best fit LSU could have, saban prolly the worst fit...which one was better?

BK is a terrible so called "fit"....would you rather O or BK?

He doesn’t talk like he’s from South Louisiana. We still have hordes of fans that think Orgeron shouldn’t have been fired.

Our fans are top 3 dumbest in terms of sports knowledge in America. They’d rather more personality fit than more victories.

Rhule would be solid. Make Urbs and Fickle say no, also not popular but Tom Herman? Hugh Freeze could kill it there if he knows what burner phones are now.

What kind of coach wants to jump on that crazy train? The boosters are insane and you have to deal with the little dick complex they have with Bama.

It is a no win situation

Probably need to get an older guy who is willing to build up his retirement fund if the boosters decide they don’t like him.

Their home run would be Fickel; but he is too smart to do that

Fleck can recruit. That's about 60-75% of the job at a place like Auburn. Do you think his recruiting will magically stop in the south? Or that he's not already recruiting some select southern areas?

Guys like Dorean, Stoops, etc. are great at mid-tier programs where they're given a LONG time to build cultures and develop their diamond in the rough types. That's exactly the type of guy Harsin is and he's been a disaster at AU. If AU hires another coach like that, he will be fired quick as hell.

I mean shite Dorean? These are his early records at NCSU: 3-9, 8-5, 7-6, 7-6, 9-4, 9-4, 4-8, etc.

He's fired after 8-5

He'd work, but, for the SEC's sake, I want Freeze or Urban back. THOSE are the guys that Auburn can win with.

Really does. And he's got the right personality to come in and want to challenge Saban. He's had success with it in the past.

I could see Auburn going hard after him just because of that.

I think Rhule is a really good coach, but similar to Aranda I think a school like Baylor is a better fit for him. He doesn't strike me as a guy that wants to put up with the bullshite you have to at auburn.

More of a let this guy operate how he wants and he'll win games, not amswer to some idiot booster who thinks he could coach the team

Freeze is just the right amount of sleaziness and beating Alabama that Auburn is looking for.
