My daughter was an incoming freshman at LSU in 2004 (defending National Champions) and graduated in 2008 as National Champions.

Ara Parseghian wrote on the chalkboard at halftime... "in 30 more minutes, we'll be National Champions." Up 24-6 over USC.

My Dad was actually at the game. He said a couple behind him said at halftime, "well, if they're (USC) gonna play like this, we're leaving.". And they got up and left.



USC also won the College World Series the same year.

1958: LSU Tigers (11-0) I was born in Jan of 1959, so LSU was the National Champions.
They won the Sugar Bowl over Clemson on January 1st and I was born on the 23rd. Happiest month of my dad's life.
