No What to you?? LOL You must be a kid or something, go and wiki this man before you shoot your mouth off. Darrell Green ran track in college, man, and was known for his track speed setting all kinds of records in college as an All-American. We know Prime was fast, but he wasn't damn Darrell Green fast. Smdh

Also, it's a fact that Darrell Green ran a 4.43 forty at 50 years damn old for his birthday, blowing people's minds.

I’m grown and remember both quite well. Darrell Green was super fast. But no NFL player in history has been “much faster” than Deion in his prime.

I know Sanders was fast, but if we're talking about speed period, straight line speed, then Prime Deion wasn't faster than Green. Sure, Sanders was fast on the field, but Darrell Green on a track would run past him. Also, Green was really fast on the football field, so, I don't wanna get it twisted.

Green was faster than Sanders. That’s not really debatable. Green was also quick.

Sabers was probably the better overall CB. But Green was really really good.

Better debate is Sanders, Woodson or Bailey.

I said that Sanders was the better cover corner in my first comment, I know that, but the Fro something poster found it funny that I said Green was faster than Sanders running. As if I didn't know what I was talking about or had never seen either one of them play. I saw Green run by people like a missle out of a cannon on punt returns and Int returns. Sanders to ran by people on punt returns, but his returns were more elusive ability than Green. Green wasn't as elusive as Neon Deon, but he run by you like you were standing still.

Darrell Green actually has Track recipts. Ran a 10.08 in College . Sanders 10.26.
Only Bob Hayes was faster legit NFL player than Green( Outside of maybe a couple track guys who had a cup of coffee in the League).

Different era , but Mel Blount helped to force the NFL to change its rules to free up receivers more.

Track speed and football speed are very different, especially once you put on all of the equipment running in cleats. Sanders was special and glided. Green was super fast and is a favorite of mine all time (being a Redskin fan my whole life), but I wouldn't swear one was faster than the other. It's close and depends on circumstances.

I remember when the Falcons and Skins played in '92, Michael Haynes went one on one with Green and blew by him (LINK starts at around 2:00. They raced to the endzone and Green couldn't catch him. It was awesome..

Darrell Green chasing down Tony Dorsett on Monday Night Football was incredible. Dorsett was fast but it was like he was running in sand coompared to Green.

One player that doesn't get mentioned with the Green/Woodson/Bailey is Ty Law. He had over 50 career interceptions which doesn't include his 5 of Peyton Manning in post season. The NFL had to make the Ty Law rule.

On the other hand there has never been any player in their late 30s/early 40s who was faster than Darrell Green in his late 30s/early 40s.

It seemed like every week on NFL Gameday, Berman, TJ, and Robin Roberts would do a highlight of Deion running an INT back for a TD and chant "Prime time. Prime time"

Whichever one was not afraid to tackle in space. DS refused to tackle. He was shite against the run. He will never be the GOAT because he only played part of the game because he had no stones. Watch the film dude refused to make tackles against the run.

If we’re having this debate with Deion, Woodson, Bailey, Blount and Hayes, it’s also worth throwing Mike Haynes into the discussion.

Then there’s Dick Night Train Lane.

Mel Blount was badass, though.

Deion was great at making plays… unless the plays involved making a tackle. I vividly remember him riding on the backs of receivers like a cape while he flailed like a rag doll in the wind. That is not the best at his position.
