Why do people keep saying the Clemson job is opening up soon? Dabo has TWO national championships to his resume, + two more NC game appearances. Plus he'll likely win ~ 8 or 9 games this season (minimum of 7). The man has made his bones.

Why isn't SC winning? They have plenty of talent on both sides of the ball. Phil Steele reviewed them favorably for this season, after a shockingly poor 2025

Their three most talented players are woefully under-developed. Stewart is more like post-Michigan Clowney, Sellers is basically Anthony Richardson, and Harbor still plays like a track guy that joined the team a month ago.

The OL is completely rebuilt from last year. I think the run blocking is better but the pass blocking is still struggling. The WRs are still arse. I know both of those areas contribute to Sellers struggle but if I am honest, I don’t see a big development in his passing game. He still makes a good bit of questionable throws. He just hasn’t been a consistent QB. It doesn’t help he is on his third OC in three years also.
The run defense is not horrible but the pass defense is complete arse. The secondary is arse and has been torched two weeks in a row.
Playcalling and the decision making while in the red zone has absolutely horrible this year. They blew so many opportunities early in both the State and Bama games.
They have talent but it’s a combination of things but I believe it all has to do with coaching. This team looks lost and I feel Beamer is definitely losing the locker room.

I wouldn't take a chance on Weiss, certainly not as a head coach at a major program yet. He might be good, he might be learning, but he's running Kiffin's offense.
And I don't know that he's learned to run A PROGRAM yet; because he's not going to be able to do what Kiffin does.
